“Superb salsete”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

Authentic well cooked food in an unassuming setting. Our taxi driver struggled to find it so make sure you have the full address. Nothing was too much trouble and our starters were exceptional. We ordered different house wines which we accept usually means fairly basic wine not at salsete they opened their best wines left the bottles at the table and said have what we wanted and a price would be sorted out. How trusting. We didn't abuse this hospitality and I'm glad we didn't as at the end of the night I really don't think they charged us enough. We will go back again.

Highly recommended and very good value. They could charge a lot more.

“hidden gem in maspalomas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

my first time at canary islands: rude anti tourist waiters, bad service and bad food. BUT NOT HERE! warm welcome by owner and staff, simple but high quality food. specials of the day outside the menu. good wines. we went for grilled squid, a lambs rack and a grilled dorade. delicious! also nice and informal atmosphere. if you want to escape all the unpleasant tourist traps on the island, go here! i will definately be back!!

“Felt like eating at favorite relative's home”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014 via mobile

We ate here 3 times during our 2 week stay because the food was good and the atmosphere was very comfortable. We enjoyed the staff and locale as well as the food. It felt authentic with the right combination of comfort and formality. The food was very good and consistent. We took friends here as well and they enjoyed it.

“Great dining experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2014

Arrived without a booking and were lucky to get a table. Nice place, friendly service, a bit on the slow side reg serving the mains. Delicious authentic tapas, although a bit on the salty side which is unnecessary given the great quality (half point reduction for that). Otherwise certainly one of the best eateries on GC. Excellent wines as well. And very affordable given what you get.
