“Better than most in the Yumbo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012 via mobile

Good food, great chateaubriand, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere.
Superior to most restaurants in the Yumbo but take into account that you are eating in a shopping centre nonetheless and the building could do with some serious renovation. Still Dali is one of the best places to eat and if you aren't wanting to quickly eat and run (expect a good hour and a half) to eat starter, main and coffee, then it's hard to beat.

“Excellent Food, strange attitude”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2012 via mobile

My fiends and I ate at this highly rated Restaurant located in the busy Yumbo Centre on our last night in Gran Canaria following the recommendations on Tripadvisor.

We thought it might have been busy if popular on a Friday, but when we called earlier in the day to book we were told this was not necessary.

The owner Wolfie served us at our table and there were only two other tables dining with his partner cooking in the kitchen of this small Restaurant. All diners were sitting outside of the Restaurant in the walkway, but we were quite alarmed by the fact the concrete ceiling overhead was coming away with pieces of cloth hanging to catch any brick dust falling and the lighting was either broken, or pendants strangely hanging. However if you do not look up this should not be a problem.

Wolfie has a somewhat strange spence of humor which perhaps as he is German we did not understand however he was polite and took our orders without being too rude.

The whole three course meal took over 2 hours and whist the food quality was one of the best we had tried, it took rather a while to bring to the table, which we had been warned about on the menu and in reports.

There are few quality places to eat our in Playa del Ingles due to the fact that more tourists have all inclusive at Hotels.

Whilst expensive, the quality of food here is well worth a try if ou want a special meal

“Superb and excellent value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2012

Friends told us to go to Dali's and commented it was expensive. Delighted to find that not only was the food of the highest quality but the prices were v similar to lots of pretty poor venues in the Yumbo. Staff v v helpful and spoke excellent english even tho belgian. Best place we went to all week. Their romantic gourmet meal for 2 is superb value with I can't remember how many courses.

“So nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2011

We were a bit skeptical about the quality of the restaurants at the Yumbo Centre, but on the last night of our stay we decided to go for it and chose Dali's. It proved to be an excellent choice. I got the impression that the hosts can speak almost every language and they are very nice and attentive. We chose the daily menu consisting of a salad with crispy roasted chicken for starters, a very well made sole filet with shrimp sauce and profiteroles for desert. My bf wanted the white chocolate mousse instead of profiteroles and that wasn't a problem. The waiter recommended the house rosé wine to go with this menu, and it tasted pretty good. After our main dish the cook came to tell us that the chocolate mousse had yet to stiffen and that it could take fifteen minutes. So nice! And we didn't mind waiting at all, since the restaurant is on a nice spot within the Yumbo, with not too many people walking by your table. Total costs for a full menu with half a litre of rosé were almost 55 euro. A very reasonable price for such a fine experience.

“This place stood out in terms of Quality.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2011

This small Restaurant located on the 2 floor of the Yombo Center in Playa del Ingles. Dali´s was an oasis in what is other wise a desert of culinary bla. Although a bit difficult to find. Its small place was grand in its cuisine. Its chef offers a rather tasty cuisine of Belgium slash French food that kept me coming back. I had the most amazing Chateaubriand served with veggies. And a small side plate of potatoes baked to perfection. We were greeted with an aperitif and a small bowl of stuffed olives. Desert was a chocolate moose. The wine was round and full boded. I one of the best meals I have ever had. Price was a bit on the high side for the Yumbo Center we paid about €27 PP with all. The service was very good and attentive "although this small place was fairly full our waiter keep us always in sight". The atmosphere is romantic with dim lighting and a bit of Artnuvo sprinkled here and their but not over the top just the right amount. It was a bit of an escape from the usual noise that goes on at Yumbo. One could look down to the Yumbo without having to be a part of it. "A real plus if you ask me."
