I chose the BW Bromma, on what I would consider the outskirts of Stockholm, because I was willing to take public transit in order to save on hotel costs. This was an excellent decision. I paid 424 SEK (about USD$61) for a terrific room. The bus stop is on the corner. A short ride to the Alvik Tunnelbana and then a 10 minute train ride to T-Centralen was worth saving about 1000 SEK per night, minimum. I wasn't able to book anything in the city center for under 1500 SEK (USD$215) and those rooms were questionable. The room at the Bromma was wonderful. It was "IKEA-like" and spotless with a great shower, great window, and free wireless access. The only down side was street noise, but this stopped around 10 or so in the evening. The breakfast is fabulous and the staff very nice. I would highly recommend this for anyone who doesn't care about staying right in the middle of town and/or who wants to save some money. With such an excellent transit system there's no reason to feel compelled to stay where you can walk. But, buy a transit pass or the Stockholm Card - I wouldn't have wanted to try to figure out how much to pay each time and it's much cheaper with a pass anyway.

I stayed here on a business trip because I had to fly from Bromma airport the next morning.

The Mornington hotel is about 5 minutes from the airport by taxi, so conveniently located.
It looks like it has been refurbished relatively recently. The breakfastroom/bar looks pretty stylish, but was smelly.

My room was clean but had very cheap furniture. The bed was not great either. Soundproofing is not good, so the nights can be quite noisy.

My stay was ok since it was just for the night and I'm a good sleeper. I would not stay here again though.
