“Lovely hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

Just returned from a long weekend (1st Nov-4th Nov). This hotel is perfect for a quick weekend get away. It's a lovely 4*, with wonderful outdoor pool (not heated and a bit too cold in Nov!) and very good, warm, indoor pool. The spa costs 6euros and hour & it is very nice (steam room, 2 x saunas, ice bath, hot tub and experience showers).
We stayed full board and the food is very good. Everything you can imagine for breakfast! Lunch and dinner were good and felt very local, lots and lots of fish dishes. This is not the place to come if you want burger and chips!! Friday night included squid and octopus cooked fresh on the open grill while you wait.
There are 3 busy bars in the hotel with nightly entertainment (in a huge entertainment suite which was full every night), a piano bar and a large lobby bar. The hotel seemed full during our stay, mainly of french & spainish, hardly any english. A mix of young families, extended families and older couples. It had a lovely buzzing atmosphere.
Tossa de Mar is beautiful, and very good at this time of the year for a lunch time wander and stop off for a drink, lots of restaurants open during the day. It was very very quiet in the evenings though with only a hand full of restaurants open and these were very quiet.
This hotel also seems to be one of the few open in this resort during the autumn months (hence why it is so busy!).
I would defintely stay here again.

Just returned from a four day short break to Tossa de Mar where we stayed at this fabulous hotel. Everything about it is excellent. The food - and the great choice of menu - was excellent and managed in a busy restaurant by a very friendly team of staff. The rooms are spotlessly clean and have tea and coffee which is so unusual in Spanish hotels. The outside area was beautiful - so spacious and very well kept. All in all a very good hotel and one that I shall visit again!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

We visited at the end of September for 11 nights on a Thomson package. Luckily for us the weather was glorious after the first 3 days which were mainly cloudy (with one whole day of rain). The hotel was typical of 4 star Spanish accommodation. We had paid Thomson a premium for a double room and to be honest I don't think we should have bothered. We did get a very nice room with 2 double beds and a pool view but would have been quite happy with a smaller room. Our room had a connecting door which did mean that we could hear our neighbours if they were noisy ( during our visit there were 3 different couples next door and only one really bothered us) but if I visited again I would request a room without the connection. The restaurant is large and can get busy but we always got a satisfactory table. They had closed the conservatory section by the end of our visit, I guess because the hotel was quieter. We didn't really bother with the evening entertainment but from what we did see it was better than the usual particularly the flamenco dancing.
Tossa was a revelation so pretty & so many little lanes to explore. Talking of exploring we got some walking maps from tourist information and did 3 lovely walks (a couple in the forest which were quite strenuous but well worth the effort). All in all a very good holiday

Just returned from this hotel and I can thoroughly reccomend it. Food excellent, varied and well cooked and a very well organised restraunt team. Location fine, and parking under the hotel if you need it. Free tea and coffee in room aswell as a fridge which we found useful. Ice machines on every floor which meant that you could have a decent drink in your room. All staff were pleasant and helpful and the kids entertainers were also very good. If you are hiring a car try Doyouspain as we got a peugeot 308 for one week for 45 euros (although you have to buy a full tank of fuel) and you can pick up from the terminal ( no shuttle Europcar ).Previous review is correct about balcony lights but there are blackout curtains which are fine. All in all not a bad choice.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view - They did this for us but initially it was on floor 1 but they moved us straigh...

Just got back after a five day break at this hotel out of all the hotels i have been to and we go away at least four times a year this will take some beating, no faults across the board everything was top notch, the pool area was outstanding ,the indoor pool was pure luxury we felt like film stars!! I just want to say a big thank you to the cleaning staff they always get overlooked, our room was cleaned to first class standard everyday, as for the food exceptional , different menus every sitting so to those people who complained about the food to fussy for there own good , cant imagine they eat like that at home, only negative but a minor one , a bit of a walk to town ,but enjoyable all in all best hotelever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best 4* hotel we have ever stayed in. Excellent service, food, cleanliness swimming pools, spa and friendly staff. Rooms and balcony spacious. Swimming pool facing room quiet and very sunny. They have thought of everything , tea and coffee(all tea and coff you needed) in rooms, fridge, lovely bathroom, towels changed every day, pull out hanger for wet clothes on balcony. Excellent shower plumbing in toilet, shampoo/shower gel dispenser in bath. TV with BBC + ITV. Airconditioning excellent and quiet. Every floor had an ice machine, ice chippings and or water. So good.Food so plentiful and varied. Waiters really good and friendly. Shops nearby .Lovely quaint town Tossa de Mar but felt it was 'winding' down as towards the end of the season. Entertainment excellent especially the chinese acrobats. Amazing, Great trips > Girona so interesting,. We would return.

Room Tip: TIP Ask for swimming pool facing room as rooms facing road are dismal due to lack of sun. Ask to be...

We stayed at this hotel as a coach party . The food was varied and there was an excellent choice at all times .Tables are allocated according to the party size so able to sit with friends if you went down together. Our room overlooked a side street and had no sun at any time of the day so nothing special. I hated the fact that the balcony light was on until after midnight and could not be turned off till then . Sorry to say i slept badly here probably because i no longer use sheets and blanket and small pillows at home it felt heavy and uncomfortable but im sure it could be perfect for some people. Lovely big room and nice bath shower and toilet.Very friendly staff, spotlessly clean and nice pool area.Shops and supermarket a short walk away

Room Tip: If you have a choice go for a pool view room, Lift service is excellent so no worry about being on t...
