This is our 7th year, July 8th - July 22nd, but there are people that have been 10, 15 & 21 years. We will be back next year around the same time, even though we love this place, I will try to give you an unbiased review after reading some of the negative reviews on here.
In my option, this is not for singles or couples with out children, having said that, I have bumped in to couples with out children that have enjoyed it to some degree, but will not be coming back.
A typical day starts around 8.30am when people as starting to get out of bed, sorting sun loungers out by the pools or on the grassed area, the restaurant opens at 8.00am, selection of teas/coffee orange juice, apple juice, pine apple juice & bottled water milk, , there are a selection of cereals sugar puffs, rice krispies, muesli & a few others, small pastries like croissants & others that I do not recognise as these are european & I am from the UK, not that I did not try & like some of them, various yogurt's & loads of fruit, apples, water melon, pine apple, kiwi to name a few, these are located around the outside of the main restaurant, in the centre you have loads of saucers, tomato, brown, salad cream, mayonnaise, various herbs & oils to name a few, you also have sliced ham & cheese , butter / margarine, fried/boiled egg & Spanish egg/omelet , bacon, sausage, the sausage varies day to day, Spanish catatonia, English pork, european hot dog types, beaked beans, tomatoes, fried bread, & various other european bits & pieces, & chocolate spread which all kids seem to love, you also have a toastie machine and a toaster, flat bread, various bread rolls & buns, some brown & some seeded, a microwave is also provided.
You can get the free bus down ( for all-inclusive only ) or pay 1euro, 8.45am then ever hour after that until 9pm, only exception no bus at 1pm, if the bus is full, it will drop off & came straight back, journey time is about 5 minutes, were it drops you off, it picks you up at the same time, on the hour down, be there on the hour for the ride back, you can also walk down, this takes about 20 minutes, to do this, go to were the bus is, turn left over the little bridge, turn left, follow the gravel road until you come to the main road, then keep to your right and follow the path again, this will take you past some small log cabins and a large swimming pool, keep going straight a head, this will then lead you to the main road & the edge of Tossa De Mar, just keep going along the path in a straight line, this will lead you to were to bus drops you off & then on to the centre of the town.
Yes after this you can not get a coffee or Tea or any other drink until 10.30am unless you make it in your room.
When the bar opens at 10.30am you can get all of this then, there is also a snack, this is seasonal, the main bar provides everything until around about the 7th July, then the snack bar next too reception opens for food and drinks, this is to help reduce the cues at the main bar, the restaurant does not provide hot drinks at lunch time or evening meal, if you want tea/coffee, you will need to get it at the bar & take it up with you.
At 10.30am the animation team springs in to action, a list of activities are located on the fence were the tennis court is, Children, Teenagers & Adults, they range from killer darts/pool, football, basketball, tennis, tennis football, French bolus, ten pin bowling, shuffle board, jenga, face painting to name a few, something for all ages, the animation team splits in to 3 groups, children, teenagers & adults. Win one of these games, your on the stage to get you certificate in the evening.
At around 12.15pm the medi games start, some thing for the little ones * something for the adults/teenagers, win one of these, candy/sweet bag for the kids/teenagers & a bottle of bubbly for the adults.
Restaurant opens at 1pm until either 2.30pm or 3pm, sorry can not remember.

Various deserts.
Then the activities start again at 3pm.
5pm in the bar various pastries will there for a quick sweet fix.
Restaurant opens again at 7pm until 9.30pm similar menu to the lunch time but will not be the same as you had at lunch.
Mini disco & games on the stage for the children, starts at 8.30pm then after this the winners for children/teenagers & adults are presented.
10pm the main shows start, everything is then closed at 12 midnight including the bar.
As for the hotel it'self, the rooms are basic, if you self catering, you have a kettle, plates of various sizes , cups, saucers, classes, knives, forks, spoons, various other utensils for cooking, a two plate cooking hob, fridge, microwave, sink with hot & cold mixer tap, the suite room comprise of living area come kitchen dinner, small tv on the wall, for me, two English speaking channels, cnn & 1 that shows kids tv, a bath room with bath/shower, sink large mirror, bidet, toilet, plenty of towel racks, all-inclusive will get plenty of towels, these are changed every day for 6 days the maid needs a day off. The bed room has 2 double beds & a lot of mirrored wardrobes. The rooms are cleaned 6 days a week. Room differ slightly.
The staff are very friendly, if you need anything, just ask at reception they are very accommodating.
Yes the guy in the Restaurant can be a bit grumpy, but if you speak to him nicely & in a good manor he will smile. A quick hola when you see him or Gracias when you are leaving, will go a long way.
Yes the out side area is out dated, the kids play area needs updating, as does the pool areas & the pool, there is a life guard, & a security guard at night, he tries to keep the the noise level to a minimum after midnight, but people do like to sit out side in the warm night & talk, the problem is that sound travels, but he dose his best and if people are getting too loud, they will be told, you also have people coming and going on cretin fights of an evening, Gatwick is one.
Internet, what would we do with out it, you can use a couple of pc's at the back of the bar to check up at home, 1 euro for 15min, there is free wifi, but this cuts out alot when too many people are on, best time I find, 1st thing in a morning & lunch time, but you need to be in the bar area for this, as the range is limited, you can also pay for it in the room, but I find this to be very expensive.
Animation team, most are very young, 17/18 they are Intern's, they work very hard, up at 9am finish at 12 midnight 1 & 1/2 days off , the pay is less than 350 euros ( about £275) per month, so don't give them a hard time, if you think your accommodation is bad, you want to see theirs.
A little help to the animation team, when you go out to see them, if you can afford to, take a few packs of baby wipes out with you, just supermarket own brands will do, then please do so, they go through loads to remover their make-up. When your holiday is over, don't throw you toiletries away, any half tins of deodorant, half bottles for shampoo/conditioner, mozzie spray, toothpaste, hair grips, ladies things you know what I mean lol, shaving cream any thing that you have like that, just give it to them on you last night, or pop it in to plastic bags, and leave it next to the door on the stage, they will love it.
The hotel is a 2 to 2.5 star, it has no air-conditioning, this would probable move it to a 3 star , and increase the cost of the holiday? we take our own pedestal fan that strips down & fits in my case, you can hire one but this I feel is expensive, you could probable buy in the town cheaper than hiring.
Around 70 percent of the people that are there, have been more than once, just ask around. There is a good mix of nationalities, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland both north & south, Dutch, Belgium both Flemish & French speaking, French & Spanish, I even know of a few from Norway, the ratio varies from week to week, depending on school holidays, all have one thing in common, they can mostly speak English to a degree better than I can speak any other language.
I think I have been fair & honest in writing this, I apologise if I have missed anything, but like the old saying goes, you can please most people some of the time, but you can never please everyone all of the time.
I hope you have enjoyed reading this, I also hope that it has been very informative.
