Ok, so you dont come to Tossa for the food, but there are some dubious establishments serving up some pretty average food for decent prices.
However, Bello came recommended by our host (Kristjian) and it is a bit of a gem in a town with some pretty average restaurants.
Set away from the middle of town but still with great views down the beach it is in a great spot.
We first went for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the tasty salad (I don't use those two words together often) with candied fruit and nuts and pizza. The waitress was pleasant enough and the prices good for Tossa. We decided we would return before we left Tossa.
When the place we wanted to go for dinner was shut and after we sat down and restaurant 6,9 only to have a fellow patron tell us that his meal and his girlfriend's were inedible (pointing to the uneaten evidence in front of him, "eat anywhere but here...") at which point we escaped, we found ourselves back at Bello that night knowing good food awaited.
We had a tasty meal of pastas (I had one which had a sort of curry edge to it, bit bizarre but it worked), a salad and sangria. Again, ok service, tasty food and good prices.
Who knows, we might even find ourselves back there again before we leave.
