With all the other places to visit in Portugal, you might not chose Leira. But it's about midway from Lisbon to Porto, and this restaurant is worth a visit. It features Indian and Portugese Goan food, with a great wine list. We had several appetizers recommended by the owner, along with fish and vegetable curries. Everything was tasty and a pleasant change from the traditional Portugese food like salted cod which is tasty in its own right. The service was faster than we became accustomed to, so we were back on the road to Porto after an hour or so--quite pleased with our lunch choice. It's a block or two from a public parking garage right by the main square.
