“Lovely countryside hotel, with fantastic food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012

Stayed 1 night whilst travelling back to the UK, lovely clean hotel room, friendly staff members (special mention to jennyfer). We had already booked to dine at the restaurant ,normally closed on the sunday night, but this did not let down the service and food quality. We decided on the 42 euro set menu and was very impressed with the quality and presentation. The location is beautiful, while sitting eating dinner we could see a deer in the field, baby duckling wadling around with their mother, a donkey, 2 goats and lots of cats..... go and visit to find out :0)

Stayed here as a stop off before travelling back to the UK on Channel Tunnel.

Lovely Location on the edge of the Forest, with deer roaming the Meadow.

Rooms very clean and well appointed, including Mini Bar, reasonably priced.

The Meal in the Restaurant was delicious, we had scallops, Fillet of beef, and a crepe suzette....service was steady but on the whole an excellent experience. Special mention to Jennifer who did an amazing job of waitressing.

Most of the staff don't speak English, but you are in France....so get used to it.

We spent two nights in this charming, peaceful hotel which is situated just outsider of Desvres. It is surrounded by beautiful country with many walks in the forest for those who like walking. Desvres is a quaint town renowned for its faience. Not far away is Boulogne which an interesting walled city as well as a modern town close by the port. The restaurant was excellent and not expensive. The rooms were clean and the staff very helpful and pleasant. We will visit again.

This was our 3rd visit, but hte first time we managed to sample the food. The 1st time was during the December snow storms that hit France severely. We were the only ones there, a couch load of people had cancelled, thay had closed the restaurant early due to the storm but we had a lovely meal in aneighbouring village. The 2nd time we arrived VERY late but they gave us an excellent plate of cheeses.
The couple that run it are VERY kind and wonderful

Lovely location. Ideal for families with ducks, cats, goats and a donkey. Not a smelly farm just a few animals to give the place character. We didn't use the restaurant but looked nice. Very charming place. Our only complaint was lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room but this is normal in France. Take your kettle from home and some tea bags.
