At the beginning of April my wife and I had some friends visiting us from Scotland so we decided that we would take them to a local restaurant that everyone seems to rave about.
We had passed it often as it is the old city centre of Kufstein and just beside the castle.
Very picturesque little corner indeed and one all the tourists visit.
Unfortunately we had chosen a Saturday evening and the place was jammed packed full but as we had reserved we knew there would be no problem getting seated. However as the restaurant is situated in a very old medieval building almost like in the castle halls it seemed to echo the noise of all the customers.
I have to say that all the food that we as a foursome ordered was absolutely lovely, well cooked, well presented and delicious. It was not particularly expensive but nor was it cheap. I would say however that it was good value for money.
The bas thing that all four of us noticed and all complained about when we left the building was the feeling of claustrophobia in there and the terrible noise.
Whilst there were some noisy groups of people there it just seemed too loud.
Would we go back…. Yes I suppose we would but only if it was much quieter, and not as loud as a disco used to be in the 70s.
