At first glance The Bon Alpina seemed to be out of a fairy tale book. As we drove into the square, the peace and tranquility surrounding it left us mesmerized and our travel fatigue wore off in a magical puff.
Perchance Bon Alpina has the best of locations in this tiny ski resort : right in the middle of the town square, facing the tourist reception center. The town itself must be seen to be believed : picture perfect with a lone road winding uphill to the ski-lift, flanked on both sides with cottages doubling as ski-lodges, lanes and by-lanes winding into the gardens and then disappearing deep into the surrounding glades and forests. Perfect settings for endless walks and picnics.
The hotel and its amenities are rendered inconsequential by the beauty of the place. For those who would rather go by the book, the reception staff was most cordial and helpful. The bar well stocked and the restaurant served with an open heart. The rooms were as bright and sunny as the town itself, ample legroom, sit-outs with recliners, and all standard fittings.
A lovely place to stay at the end of a tiring day. My only regret was that I was not staying longer.
Just ask. All the rooms are lovely for sure.
