We had a really enjoyable holiday in Igls and the Sporthotel excelled itself with Customer Service. We found the Staff so friendly and helpful, whether it was Reception, Dining or Cleaning, we were always greeted with a warm smile every day. The food was of excellent quality with plenty of choices. Buffet breakfast and Waiter service in the evenings except for a special buffet Mondays and Fridays. If you did not like something on the menu it was no problem to find you an alternative. We also had a free packed lunch every day included in our (Inghams) holiday which we took full advantage of. It was packed with the same food every day but we always enjoyed it! Our room was a little dated but in traditional style with wood beams, balcony (no views) with flowers etc and the room was always clean. The room was very large (bigger than our living room at home!) with an equally large bathroom with 2 sinks and also a shower over the bath. The only negatives were, that it was in a dark corner of the hotel, with some road noise and sometimes the level of light even with all the lights on, was very poor. A full length mirror was also lacking. However I would like to stress that these negatives in no way detracted from our stay and overall we loved our room which felt more like a little homely flat than a hotel room! The Hotel also has a Spa & Hairdresser. There was a special offer on for 3 Detox treatments in the Spa so my husband treated me. I have never experienced anything so relaxing and I felt marvellous for the rest of my stay. Highly recommend! I also used the Hairdresser. I was very pleased with the end result but beware saying yes to things like conditioner and hair spray as this doubled the price I was expecting to pay! We also used the indoor pool most days which was huge and never crowded. There were also many other facilities available such as a gym, sauna but we just did not have time to use them! Igls is a small village and you literally step out of the Hotel and everything is is in almost immediate reach or a few minutes walk from the Hotel. The resort is quiet but every evening there was a superb pianist playing at the Sporthotel which made for a pleasant relaxing evening after dinner. The Tourist board also put on a Tyrolean evening and a Brass Band Concert once a week as well as Organ Recital in the local church. All next door to the Hotel. All in all a lovely holiday and we intend returning. Would recommend this Hotel to anyone.
