Description: La Table de Haute-Serre is an original gastronomic concept -bistronomie- in a wine cellar. The bistro side is reflected in the warm, friendly atmosphere in a sitting reminiscent of a modern, chic sort of loft. The gourmet side is, of course, reflected in the menu with local products market.

“Well worth a visit - free wine tour and tasting!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012

We visited the Chateau on Saturday 30th June for a free 45 min vineyard tour and tasting...Geoffery, our guide was superb - and his English excellent! Had a bit of history, saw the vineyards and visited the cellars! We were surprised at the welcome received given that we didn't need to book beforehand! Our time with Geoffery lasted 90 mins, with great hospitality and interesting conversation including Arsenal, politics and the wine of course! Highly recommended.

“Good food in a hard-to-find restaurant.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2011

We lunched here in the summer and only 3 tables were occupied. That was probably due to it being quite expensive for lunch (25€ - 35€) and quite off the beaten track. Both the food and the service were good on our visit. A limited menu at midday was chalked on small blackboards which are carried from table to table - as is the equally limited & expensive wine menu (this is rather curious as the restaurant is owned by one of the largest wine négociants in the area). The restaurant, which is not in the château, is situated nearby in a completely restored barn, which also houses much of the wine produced here. Prices seem a little ambitious (up to 80€) for a new restaurant but no doubt time will tell.
