“Relax & Unwind in the lap of nature . .”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013

If your aim is to enjoy nature , listen to natures's sounds, experiance the cool breeze and gaze the stars at night, this is the place to be.
Do not expect a luxurious stay with world class amenities and service. This place is not meant to be that way.
The rooms are clean with availability of hot water, The Food & Breakfast is decent. There is an open area in front of the hotek where you can sit and relax looking at the hills in front or you can enjoy with family and friends.

Overall a good place to rejuvinate and relax.

Ideal place for a quick weekend getaway from Delhi. 6-7 hr drive, a small Cantonment town, with not much to do. Hotel is excellent, good service, good food served with smile. All rooms are well located, but if you need little privacy, opt for one below the dormitory (you will have to climb down 2 floors). Do not get signals in the hotel, so you are away from work, even if you cannot avoid it.

Room Tip: For more privacy choose one below the dormitory

The hotel is set midst no where, so only choose this if you are planning to move away from the hustle bustle of city life and spend some days all to your self. It is a quaint little hotel about 4 kms from the Chakrata town. The rooms are clean, but a bit dingy as they lack ventilation. However, the courtyard outside the rooms is bright and sunny. The hotel staff is very courteous and helpful. The best part is their food. The food served was awesome. Wanted to bring the chef back with us to Delhi :-)!!

Room Tip: Choose the room on the extreme right corner, it has big windows for ventilation.

First, I would like to thank trip advisor for providing such a wonderful platform helping all the travellers. Started my search for hotel and took a chance with Himalyan Paradise and guess - its a perfect call. Its a wonderful stay, nice n clean rooms, amazing food and above all - perfect hosting by Mr. Chauhan. Chakrata is an unexplored place with falls, caves and forests!. A must watch for all teh adventure lovers.

Once again, a Big Thanks to tripadvisor.com, they helped me to find this awesome place for get together with my buddies.

We drove all the way from Delhi to Chakrata and the moment we enter to this Hotel, what we saw was the best thing that can happen to us, a Bomabo wood work room to accommodate 6 people and that all together.. woow and thats a big Woow.. had an awesome breakfast and a local walk and then dineer.

Food quality was great

Next day drive to Tiger fall was memorable.

In short One night & Two days in this Hotel Surely deserves Thumbs Up and that too when you happen to be close to Nature.. we visited this place in October - 2011, did not had option to choose from the drop down, hence choose 2012.

Room Tip: The owner will give you the best deal, he is just a phone call away

Himalayan Paradise is a perfect tribute to the Jaunsari culture and it's people, The room's are comfortable & clean, the food is homely, the staff is humble, efficient & friendly, the location is amazing and the view is stunning. It is the team behind the concept that makes the difference, Bittu Bhaiya & Captain Chetan are always there for you. They make you so comfortable that you have to remind yourself that you are in a resort and not in your house. Each & every member and staff of the resort genuinely care for you and makes you feel special. Their knowledge of the region, it's culture, traditions, geography and climate is unprecedented. Please do visit Himalayan Paradise if you want to experience hospitality in it's true sense

Room Tip: The Jaunsari hut's give you a feel of the local arhitecture

This property is in the middle of nowhere, so if thats ok, you may go ahead with this place. However, the view from the rooms isn't that great. You can definitely enjoy the quietness and tranquility. Food is served hot and tastes like home cooked food. Considering the fact that, options are few in chakrata, its a decent place
