“Such an amazing place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2012 via mobile

I've been to many places like this but for me this was by far the best! You can get so close to the animals its unreal a few times I thought they were fake till they moved! The monkeys were active and noisy but that made it so much better! Definitely worth every penny!!!!

“LOVE THIS PLACE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

We go every year to Thrigby and are not disappointed. The first time we went was with my disabled dad who managed to walk round the whole place; that's why I enjoy it so much, it's not massive but plenty big enough. There's free parking right outside the entrance and you can go back to your car as many times as you like (great if you want to collect a picnic etc. and you dont have to carry loads of stuff around). The entrance is in the middle so you more or less pass it. The Aligators can come outside and are then only a glass fence away. The Aligator house is great fun for kids too with bridges across them. The monkeys play up to you and there's a walkway to get higher so you're nearer. The big cats (cant remember if its Lions or Tigers) have two walks - great fun for kids too as one is really narrow and you are right over the tigers, the other is inside their cage with YOU inside the cage, up high, with them on a platform right next to you with two fences inbetween just wide enough so they cant bite you if you put your fingers through them (and there's bound to be someone who tries!). There's also a ground level 'hide' with window to their cage. There's loads of other animals (porkupines, meercats, pigs etc.) and also a lovely water foul walk with chinese birthday predictions. The playpark is brilliant - great for kids to let off (more) steam with rope climbers and plenty of seats and undercover picnic area. The cafe is adequate, does some hot meals and pasties, sandwiches etc. but could be better tidied between visitors i.e. cleaning tables but you can sit outside if weather good. Nice new clean toilets. Shop is ok, always nice to get something to remind you of your day and most people do really enjoy it - or like me - Love it! Def recommended. My favourite attraction and a must for all ages (even teenagers, the hardest to please!!). I live locally and take all my visitors there. It only about 5 miles from Great Yarmouth. Go to their website and get the £1 off voucher. Enjoy!

“brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

Visit here everytime we're in the area. Its a great laid back place set in the gardens of an old manor house. The animals are well cared for. Its clean, tidy and good value for money. The tiger walk is the best!
