“Love it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2012

This hotel has all we wanted or needed for this particular vacation..

Excellent swimming pools alongside a few waterslides, as in a proper waterpark, included in the room charge. The breakfast, which gave us a good start, was served in one of the cozier restaurants.
Our room (we were upgraded) was HUGE, with two sofas, a TV which could be viewed from both the sofa and the beds as well as a good-sized bathroom with a bathtub.

The proximity to Oslo, Fredrikstad and Sweden makes for good day-trips to many historical locations.

LOVE IT! =)

I had to spend my choice club points, so we chose this hotel because it is not to far from home and because it is connected to "superland".
I had expected an upgrade to a superior room due to my membership level, but instead we got treated with a family room which is much bigger, and it has got extra beds so that our child could sleep in a real bed rather than a babycot.

Access to the pool area is free, but remember to ask for a key to the hotell entrance and lockers or you will have to walk all the way around. Bring the towles from your room.

Big 'Norwegian/continental' breakfast. Very good food, but i don't understand why they only serve one piece of bacon pr egg. The result is that guests steal bacon from the other eggs.

Good service and i will recommend the hotell to our visitors.

The room was ok, bed was ok and some people of the staff ok too but very, very average. The swimming pool was only open on day-time. The service in the restaurant was not what i expected. The breakfastbuffet got out for fried eggs and when i asked the lady if they could arrange fried eggs but without bacon on the topp, I got an answer when she walked away and calling that i had to remove the bacon myself....that's not how a customer wants to be treated....
We also had a gala-dinner evening where almost all the members of the staff where very friendly and nice!!

Everything is close to average about this hotel, so it is a place to sleep-and-go. Several nice persons in the staff was a plus. The resturant is not got, neither the food nor the service. But there is no alternative around the hotel. The hotel is located rather far outside the city center. The rooms are average, the bed too soft. Several items in the mini-bar had expired best-before date both times I stayed there. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel for the Rygge airport which is rather convenient.

I was on a job conference at this hotel, and did not pay for the stay on my own. This I am quite happy for. The bathroom was not cleaned at all, and it smelled pee! The bed was too soft, so I slept bad. On the positive side I can mention the size of the room, the breakfast and lunch buffet.

The conference facilities was quite ok, but my company did got a too small room compare to the amount of people we was. The air in this room got terrible very fast...

I did not got time to use the swimmingpools, but they looked nice.

Hotel looked good on website but did not really resemble what I saw when I got there.
It's amazing that you have to pay well over £100 for hotels as basic as this.
I thought it would be okay, a small town, warm service but certainly not a hotel I would go back to.

I stay here every so often when on business in the newly opened Rygge Airport about 25km away.

Firstly, staff are excellent. Never a delay, never a hassle, English fluency is superb, not just the few rehearsed "hotel" sentences. Secondly, rooms small but absolutely the most comortable beds you'll find almost anywhere. Really aids a good sleep.

Food and drink (both alcoholic and non alcoholic) is expensive bbut I have to remind people that this is Norway which is renowned for high prices and in fairness I think the hotel is as reasonable as can be when this is kept in mind. You must remember as a benchmark that even a humble mcdonalds meal costs almost €12 compared to stg£3.89 in UK.

Lastly all I can say is this hotel really is in the middle of nowhere. Sure it's conveniently located to the E6, but that's it. It only suits a business person who needs a place to sleep. This is almost nothing in the vicinity except a supermarket and a Turkish style kebab shop. One must have transport, and with regards to any tourist attractions the hotel really is in no mans land. Also lastly, most websites including their own site, states free wifi available. What they don't mention is while this is true you simply get a 12 hour password stratchcard which gives you one device and is a little annoying to have to blag a new card everyday
