Just back from Vilamoura where we stayed at the Clube Hotel Apartmento do Golfe. The apartments and their situation were good. But oh! that road into Vilamoura.
I had already read a review mentioning the connecting road where it was an unlit, single track road. This I found out to be true. If only the local authority would complete the development between Vilamoura and Quartiera where these apartments are, then all would be perfect.

Well the title says it all really! Vilamoura is a lovely location and the apartments were perfect, spotlessly clean.

There is a small kitchen area with a fridge, oven and all the cutlrey is provided. We stayed half board, the breakfast buffet was good, more choice would have been appreciated but the evening meal was delicious, I recommend the swordfish. You have a choice between 2 starters, usually salad or soup, 2 main courses, usually a fish or meat e.g. chicken, pork, lamb and 2 deserts. Breakfast was from 6:30am – 10:30am and dinner from 6:30pm – 10:30pm.
We were also told by the receptionist that it is possible to swap your evening meal to the afternoon, if required.

There is a lovely grassy area with sunbeds and two swimming pools, there was never a fight for sunbeds either, which was a bonus! The golf bar had entertainment on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and there is another bar outside, where you could buy snacks and drinks.

The Hotel Apartamento do Golfe provides a free shuttle bus to the marina from 10:30am – 17:10pm, the marina is lined with lovely restaurants and the usual souvenier shops, however I didn't find them as tacky as other resorts. There is also a Mcdonalds and Pizza Hut. We took a taxi to the marina once and it came to approximatly 6 Euros.

Whilst there we took a day trip to Fatima, which was good however its a really long journey - 5 hours! We also went to the market in Loule, some great bargains and a nice trip. The reception staff booked the trips, they were through Paradise Tours and we were very happy with them.

We also went to Roma Mini-Golf and it is great fun, especially for children but we loved it too. There are lots of brouchures on the reception desk, you definatly won't be short of things to do.
Overall my partner and I thought the Hotel Apartamento do Golfe and the Vilamoura area was excellent.

The hotel was perfect. Employers were very kind. Breakfast great, included scramble eggs.
Dinner was perfect. We ate grilled chicken.
There was a big pool.
The only bad thing is that you must take the car to go to Vilamoura for dinner or shopping. But it doesn´t mind, really!!!

Hi , returned yesterday from this super hotel " Hotel Apartamento do Golf Vilamoura ".
My husband and I wanted a quiet break after spending a recent holiday in Salou with our 2 young granchildren in a hectic whirl of mini discos and fun packed days.
The Hotel do Golf provided an ideal environment located in quiet ,lovely grounds with an extra large swimming pool and a peaceful atmosphere in which to enjoy lazy days and friendly , sociable evenings listening to a variety of tasteful artists on 3 nights of our stay.
Our accommodation was a spacious studio apartment with a fully equiped kitchen area complete with tea towels , a vast array of pots and pans , microwave, kettle, toaster, etc all maintained to a very high standard of cleanleness.
All bed linen, towels etc were snowey white and towels were changed daily. The bathroom offered facilities hard to find in 4 or even some 5 star hotels, it was very large and provided a hairdryer even a wall phone. The daily maid service made sure everything was maintained to the highest standards of cleanleness.
On this super site all apartments and studios have direct dial telephones, air con, satelite TV and terrace/ balcony, sunbeds and mattresses at no extra charge .
The site offers a large adult pool , a large childrens pool, a games room, breakfast room , bar, snack bar restaurant, laundry service and a comfortable lounge area. A mini bus makes 4 trips daily to the Marina and beach approx 4 kil away.
Staff were great and services excellent we will certainly be going back here .
