This truly is what they claim! 5 star hotel. What a great place to chill out on vacation, very nice breakfast and great rooms with lovely views, I would highly recommend this hotel! Very comfortable double sunbeds too if you can get one. The spa is also nice.

So many resorts claim to be 5 star and seem to have it because they always have had it. This hotel is 5 star in all counts spacious comfortable rooms, wonderful staff, good choice of restaurants, attractive grounds and great location close enough to the hustle bustle but far enough away overall just a wonderful place to relax.ps forget to mention first class star.
Will be back very shortly

Room Tip: Upper floors pool view

Stayed for five nights and as a regular visited to Vilamoura can confirm this hotel deserves the number ons spot. I could wax lyrical about the fantastic rooms the great breakfast the massively good spa with its dozen or so buttons that start an avalanche of water or an eruption of bubbles to banish the stresses of life at work and home I could rave about the great heated outdoor pools and artificial beech....but most of all I should congratulate them on their special selection of the worlds finest Gins that they make a real experience in the bar...there are 22 to choose from but take the advice of the bar tenders they will mix them brilliantly or go for a Monkey 47 with orange peel and vanilla pods you will never have felt so refreshed before I promise. One little disappointment was food in the pool bar but hey you are only two mins walk from the marina where you are spoilt for choice at breakfast lunch or dinner.

As soon as you enter the hotel lobby you notice this is a special place, so stylish and well kept. The rooms are big and well decorated, with separate toilette and bathroom, very convenient for families. Lovely balcony with a view of the whole grounds. There are two outdoor pools and an artificial beach by the lake with real sand (I say that because other hotels have gravel that kills your feet). There is a very pleasant spa with a heated pool where kids are welcome in the morning, that was great since the weather was a bit chilly and our kid profited from the indoors pool every day. Alternatively, there is a well-run and friendly Koala Club for kids, just in case the grown-ups need a break from their beloved little ones.
Breakfast is plentiful and varied (the only thing I missed was smoked salmon). Although the buffet itself is not huge, compared to other 5 stars, there is good quality in everything, from fresh fruit salad to really yummy cakes, pastries and bread selection. Sparkling wine is also there, if you fancy a glass while you indulge in eating at the sunny terrace. When we stayed at Easter there were many children because of the school holidays, I'm warning honeymooners that this is not the idyllic place of romance for couples that they might be dreaming of... However, it is gorgeously perfect for young families and tolerant singles.
Vilamoura Marina is just around the corner. It's a beautiful upmarket place with lots of restaurants and bars, some very good (My Thai), others not so much but rather pricey.
We would absolutely recommend this hotel for a chill-out holiday. The only thing I disliked were the sunloungers, too hard and with no mattress. By the way, the staff are extremely helpful and attentive; once I lay down on a sofa with no cushions and a staff member immediately appeared with a couple of cushions for me. Real customer care!

Room Tip: Avoid ground floor rooms, they obviously have no balcony so you cannot enjoy the stunning views.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here at this beautiful 5* Hotel for a weekend. We absolutely loved it! The spa facilities, pool amenities, breakfast and room service (no extra charge) were all a part of the package for staying here. It's easily in 2 minute walking distance from both the marina (less for the marina) and a lovely sandy beach. Even though it was early April the weather was nice. I can just imagine how busy this place would be in the summer. We look forward to retuning in the future for a longer stay and within peak season so I can take advantage of that fresh seafood restaurant they have.

We loved the hotel and it's facilities so much that we almost found it difficult to leave! Good thing we went for a relaxing weekend because all outside resort activities were put on a back burner.

The staff were very helpful and respectful. I had issues with my transfers for returning and they gave me their time and helped me sort it all out. It was also cute to see staff say a table for three when they were referring to a couple with a baby/toddler. It was even more sweet to see the staff talk to some young boys 7/8 at the reception desk about their queries and deal with and answer them as if they were dealing with adult guests. The staff treated everybody with the highest respect.

I look forward to returning.
