Booked a Groupon package which included a 4 course lobsterdinner and one night stay.
The location of the hotel is special in terms of idyllic, the hotel itself is ok at best. An esoteric mix of add ons to an existing house. Understandable issues there so basically ok. The room was small but ok at the basic level.
The meal is a mixed bag. I am not going to say it was bad but it was far from a taste explosion either. Some couscous followed by bisque followed by half a lobster followed by a dessert. Overall taste was again ok, average, not worth a detour. Then there was an additional wine package which we took. But at 23 euro pp which included 3 glasses + coffee it was not worth the money. First wine was basic table wine, here we got a refill. Main wine was quite ok but sparingly given. Third was a dessert wine in a very small glass to be nipped at. So all in all with two people, I seems a better idea to buy one very good bottle of wine of 38 euro (excluding the coffee here).
Another weird thing was that - given we had a Sunday night stay - we wanted to get going early on Monday but this is not possible. Breakfast, even on weekdays is only served from 8:00 AM and then you wait till 8:25 AM to see a full spread available. Not been in any hotels where breakfast is only served so late ...
Friendly people, basic level ok, probably not a place to remember and go back.

You made your reservation with a Groupon Voucher, We've had a verry succesfull campaign with groupon and reached en welcomed a lot of new and sattisfied customers. I'm sorry that your stay did'nt make an everlasting impression and that in your opinion it isn't worth a detour. However... thank you for your visit and review, thanks to the opinion of our customers we can keep up our service levels and quality cuisine.
Please post your positive comments online and report deficiencies directly to the staff during your stay, often the can be fixed immediately!
