“Simple but good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014 via mobile

A simple unpretentious hotel with no extras (gym etc) but this is reflected in a reasonable price. Free WI-Fi , nice varied breakfast. Most of all rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Staff are very welcoming and Charles at the bar is a great guy - very helpful and customer friendly. If you need a standard hotel you can not go wrong here

The hotel is a bit in the middle of nowhere when it comes to interesting things to see or do- basically in an upper class suburban feeling neighbourhood. The rooms are very stark with bare walls, basic functional wooden furniture (in very good condition, at least in my room), with views over parking lots almost whatever room you take. The restaurant was a big surprise. The asparagus with ham and eggs was a personal interpretation on a Dutch classic which was amazingly good. The spring meal (lamb and asparagus) was perfectly cooked and delicious as well. The place was pretty deserted which is a shame as it seems to be a hidden treasure to eat at.

Lovely staff and a overall good stay with no problems what so ever. Nice breakfast and you can't beat the late checkout service that comes with no exstra charge. Loved it....

We will return no doubt about it.

good environment and quiet comfortable room, staff are friendly, it's near the highway and not hard to find, but its rooms are quite quiet and clean, I have a long deep sleep and enjoyed the breakfast.

This hotel is in a very peaceful area. The downside is there is nothing that Icould find as an alternative for something to eat or drink near the hotel. The hotel feels a little dated but is clean and friendly. The staff are first rate, Charles the bar manager (if I have promoted him , good, he deserves it) is particularly friendly. Breakfast was pretty good, but standard European fair. I ate twice in the evening opting for an offered steak, salad and fries which was very good and off-menu the second meal was from the standard menu was, to be honest, very good but I was still hungry after the main course. The upside is I had an excuse to have a dessert of the month which was excellent.
Wi-fi is free throughout the hotel with among the best coverage I have found. You need to take multiple slips of paper with the log-on details if you need to connect more than one device and repeat every 24 hours. Even though this is a little irksome at least you can get multiple device log-ins which many hotels don't let you do. If this hotel has a drawback it is the distance from Schipol Airport. A taxi transfer, organised very efficiently by the young lady on reception, came in at over 100 euros. If I was to be booked into this hotel again it would be fine, although I would as a preference probably book one a little nearer the airport and with alternatives for eating and drinking. Overall nothing to complain about and if you are looking for a hotel to spend a very pleasant night or two or using as a base for touring you could do worse.

Room Tip: Smoking rooms available if you ask. 304 has a balcony, but there is no view to enjoy.
