This hotel is located in the wood beween Utrecht and Amersfoort. A very quiet place and good equiped. Good rooms, clean and well furnished with bathroom with fine shower. The restaurant has a good quality and there is à nice terras. There is big parking place for free parking behind the hotel

Room Tip: Ask aroom on the back Side.

This hotel may be in Zeist, but is located out on a rural road with nothing else nearby. Downtown Zeist is a 15 minute bus ride away. The hotel is nice and the staff is good. Rooms are spacious and the patio/courtyard is very nice. The food is okay, but expensive because there is nowhere else to eat unless you take the bus into Zeist. While we would stay here again, we would probably stay closer to Zeist or Utrecht.

A quiet and nice place with a very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is excellent with good food at reasonable prices. The room was clean and big enough, but the matress was way too soft - almost a hammock.

For work my company booked a night stay at Hotel Oud Londen, some miles away from my destination.

I arrived around 19.30 at the hotel and after parking my car find my way to the lobby. The lobby looks quite modern when dark. There is an open fireplace with something of a led-light wall above it in funky purple colors. But that's the most modern thing you'll find in the interior of this hotel.

Check-in was done by a friendly lady at the reception and I got a old fashioned key for room 55. As I needed to do some work, I inquired about internet access and the lady at the desk said that WiFi access could be bought for 1, 3 or 24 hours. I chose the 3-hours option, costing 2,50 euros. Which isn't much, but in these days complimentary WiFi is to be expected in a business oriented hotel, isn't it?

I found my way to room 55 easily, but the halls itself are looking worn and very late 80's/early 90's. The same could be said about the room. Worn carpet, outdated wallpapers, lights and bathroom. A plus is that the toilet and bathroom are seperated. The room itself was quite spacious and has a balcony. An LCD TV hangs off the wall above the desk, which isn't handy when looking at the TV while working at the desk.

On to the bed. A plus was that the bed was one big matrass, in stead of the common two beds shoved together. However, the bed was too soft for my liking, it felt like a hammock. Despite that, I had a good sleep.

The bathroom provided the normal ammenities like soap, showergel and shampoo, as well as four towels. The shower itself was clean, but very low on power.

Breakfast was a normal and standard buffet. Fresh bread, warm eggs and no watery orange juice, so I can't fault it. Nice staff too!

All in all, I had a good nights rest at Oud Londen. The hotel does what it needs to do, but it also needs a serious update to more modern interior design standards, or they risk loosing out. The fireplace near the reception is a nice beginning.

If you are around Zeist, make sure you stay at this Hotel. I had a great experience! Staff is really nice and friendly, rooms are extremely comfortable and you can choose patio or garden view (I liked the garden view with balconies), at night is really relaxing to stay in the balcony enjoying the quietness of the place. Beds are very comfortable too.
If you have a chance make sure you have lunch and dinner at the hotel, their Restaurant and Brasserie is great, nice menu, kind staff, and food is delicious. great selection of coffees and teas.
They are very well equipped for events and groups too. also they have a heated pool and you can relax on steam and dry saunas.
Great stay. I really recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with garden view and patio, the ones on basement floor counts with a great garden view...

Stayed here for three nights on business. Definately felt like walking back into the 1970s.

ROOMS
The rooms are very cheaply done. Clean, comfortable but depressing. Multishades of yellow wallpaper, very cheap bathroom fittings, generic pictures on the wall. Grim. On the plus side, very clean and the beds were comfortable.

RESTAURANT
Good, stodgy food, served well. Nothing to complain about. The staff were excellent. Really friendly and helpful.

STAFF
The best part of the whole experience of staying here were definitely the staff. Very friendly and helpful in the hotel and the restaurant.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the first floor, rather than the ground floor. Ground floor rooms look out onto a...

my first stay at this hotel and I would heartily recommend it. The room was large, comfortable and very clean. It was also very comfortable. Secure parking. The staff were pleasant. I had wifi but had to keep signing in and the signal was weak.
