Eating Italian food in the Netherlands might not be an obvious choice for a visitor, given the variety of exotic restaurants you can find, but we gave it a try.
The manager is Dutch and not Italian, but was very friendly and spoke a few Italian words. The rucola salad with parmesan shavings serving was maybe too large for a starter, but it tasted good, thanks also to balsamic vinegar. The rotelle that I had as a main is a roulade of spinach and ricotta that you don't find often in restaurant. Again, it was good, although the heavy cream sauce took away some of the delicacy of the dish. Dessert was a moelleux au chocolat that is definitely more French than Italian.
Overall I felt the cuisine was Italian with a Dutch creamy twist.
