We stayed for 4 nights - the staff were reasonably attentive with perhaps the exception of room service. We had to badger them constantly for towels and tea/coffee supplies as they only seem to change/replenish on changeover days. The pool cleanliness left a lot to be desired and no-one was interested when we mentioned it. However the regular shuttle buses were a boon as we travelled to Amsterdam by train most days.

Room Tip: Don't pick rooms on the flight-path side unless you are a planespotter!

Pros: The check in was quick, the shuttle service to Schiphol was great, the staff made sure to let us know to book a reservation for the shuttle the following morning so that we would definitely have a seat at the time we wanted. The pool was lovely and clean. The staff were able to print off my boarding pass for me which was helpful. It's about a 2 minute shuttle ride to Schiphol so if you wanted to go into Amsterdam to sight see it would be a quite shuttle ride than you could catch the train to Centraal.
Cons: The bed was so springy it was like being on a trampoline, the pillows were so large and uncomfortable I had to improvise a new one. We went to use the pool and found that we needed a coin in order to lock the lockers. The safe code is not cleared after each room visitor like any other hotel that we have stayed at, so we had a mishap where we needed a staff member to come and unlock it so we could remove our personal effects. They were a little slow on coming up and doing that or even giving us a time frame as to when they would be up. The breakfast seemed rather pricey, so we went next door to the McDonalds and purchased breakfast there for considerably less.

We stayed for 2 nights, one night to see Amsterdam and the other night to catch an early flight back to South Africa. On arrival we had to wait 30 min to get a shuttle which is unacceptable. The shuttle was small and only 8 people could be transported. There was a family with 3 kids, one baby of 2 months, they were exhausted and had to wait such a long time for a shuttle.
Hotel is clean and staff helpful, however our room was situated over an outside bar area so sleeping was an issue as we kept hearing the noise. Nice restaurant with good food. Mc Donald is close by. We preferred the IBIS hotel.

Room Tip: don't book a room over the outside patio area, noisy

Mind you I only stayed the day and night at this hotel. I have no complaints as I found the staff to be very helpful, willing to go out of their way to advise and help with the brief stay I was having in the city. Surprisingly I found the food to be quite good, not at all bad for a hotel. Everything in the room worked and it was clean, quiet at night. There is a shuttle going to and from the airport though on arrival you may have to wait a bit before leaving for the hotel. Very close to the airport which for me was plus since my stay was short.

We stayed here for one night so we could catch our flight the next morning. Our room was small but modern and clean. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel and back. Be prepared to wait at the airport at peak times. It was less hectic leaving from the hotel to the airport because they do have a reservation system in place going from the hotel to the airport.

I thought staying here would be a noisy exerience due to its location and popularity but it wasnt. The room seemed very sound proofed as you couldnt hear anything else that was going on in the hotel, it was very quiet. Bathroom was lovely, like a wet room and the beds were really clean and comfortable. The room had everything that you needed.
i ate in the restaurant and the portions of food were huge. I had fish and chips but it was enough for 2 people so I left alot of it. they also brought you bread rolls and salad, too much really but very nice gesture. There was one girl working in the restaurant but it wasnt very busy and she spoke good English and was very friendly.
Reception staff were also very helpful and there was a free shuttle bus to the airport running on regular intervals throughout the day. Check the times listed on reception for the buses though as reception staff seem confused with what times the bus actually goes.
There was noone around at breakfast and it was just a help yourself thing but it had everything you wanted, large variety of food.

Average older hotel with free shuttle. Within 10 minutes to airport, McDonald's close
and restaurant in hotel.
Confusion with staff about shuttle times (I was told different schedules by staff). Shuttle is small.
