“Nice quick stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

Good hotel for anyone traveling through Schipol airport and wanting to stay for a night or two. Nothing exceptionally fancy but has free shuttle to and from airport which is handy because a taxi ride is approximately 20 Euro...

Staying here for 1 night
The hotel seems to cater more for middle east clientele. The smell of burning incense or what ever it was did nothing for me. When I walk into a hotel I want it to smell nice and fresh, not like a Turkish shop. The rooms again where themed like like this and in need of an update. The tv is an old box type with no hdmi slot obviously. The room was very warm and I had to have the noisy air con on all night. The room was clean though and the bathroom adequate.
The free shuttle into Amsterdam was a bonus
I would look at other hotels before choosing this one again.

7 nights mid Nov 2012. It was close to where I needed to be for work and close to friends. A nice 40 minute walk to restaurants in Hoofddorp. Room was adequate - showing it's age but clean. The ceiling above the bath shower was pretty close if you were over 6 foot. No clock in the room. Breakfast was great - lots to choose from and good quality. My bed was just right. Service at the bar was slow (lots of people and only one serving). If I were a tourist visiting Amsterdam I'd stay closer to the city centre. If visiting Hoofddorp, I'd probably try somewhere else to compare but would be happy to stay there again. Got a good corporate with breakfast and internet.

Our flight got cancelled and we had top stay overnight. The staff is truly great, the rooms are beautiful but the ford was dreadful. The boy who served the food said our was due to the unexpected high number of travellers so our is explainable.

Welcome is perfect, breakfast international buffet is full of different choices, I was there several times for business trips in 2011 and 2012, including stays for professional trainings. It is a huge hotel with lot of rooms, various comfort level. The restaurant is good, the lounge 'cafeteria' has not a lot of food choices and the service is often very slow. There is a fitness center and a swimming pool available for all guests. Location is near Schiphol airport with regular free shuttle from/to the airport. Meeting rooms are comfortable, water, coffee, tea, chocolates and biscuits are offered during the breaks.

outside looks and the lobby look decent, but on checkin aggressive selling of additional services, such as upgrades, breakfast etc.

The rooms are clean, but in need of a spruce up (a paintjob for all the damages to the paint of the doorframe, new carpets etc). The bathrooms were clean, but dated and small. Bed very soft.

Kitchen closes at 2200 (for an airport hotel...; it was actually as bit earlier when I was there), after that very limited room service (something like tomatosoup, lasagna and 4 types of pizza). Bar is small, no place for a quiet drink.

Doesn't feel like a four star hotel

We were delayed in Amsterdam and sent to this hotel by our airline with meal vouchers for two days. The outside looks dismal and industrial. The lobby is quite nice and new looking. While comfortable and clean, the rooms were dated and in need of freshening. For example, every door jamb was badly in need of paint - dings galore. The bath/shower were high and hard for my mother to get in and out of safely. In and near the smoking wing, there was such a strong odor of whatever air freshener they were using to cover up the smell of smoke, it was pretty sickening. HOWEVER, the dining room was excellent for every meal. Really fresh foods, great variety, and very nice and attentive staff even for those of us who were being covered with an airline voucher. We noticed a lot of people dining there which seemed unusual for "an airport hotel" but it was one of the best buffets I've ever seen. The hotel staff was also very pleasant and friendly. They just need some redecorating (badly!).

Room Tip: Be SURE they do not put you in a smoking room!!
