Just back from 3 nights at this hotel, with my family including an elderly Grandmother. We had a wonderful time. The rooms are huge and comfortable. Very clean. Housekeeping did a wonderful job. All the staff we met were friendly and attentive. My Grandmother has restricted mobilty and the rooms were more than adequate taking this into account and we had no trouble with securing adjoining rooms.
The two barmen went out of their way to please, offering good advice on where to go in the city and what to drink! Ok the bar prices are higher than in the city, but you expect that in a 'business' class hotel.
The hot buffet breakfast was so plentiful that we never had lunch and did not feel at least hungry until late afternoon! We ate in the hotel on 2 of the evenings and the quality of the food was good and we did not feel it was too overpriced.
The shuttle bus to and from the airport is very handy, fairly regular, about every half hour, but not always at the same time, maybe that is the only area that could be tightened up on, as it did say on the timetable they ran every 15 mins during the week.
If you would rather stay in a hotel with large rooms, lovely pool and do not mind spending approx. an hour to get into the city (the train from the airport is so cheap and so fast) then I would say this is a perfect place to stay, over typical city center hotels which usually have smaller rooms.
If visiting Amsterdam again we would definately stay here.
