The hotel is located a few miles from Schiphol airport in a place called Hoofddorp. We stayed for 2 nights over a weekend and as it is on a business park, it was very quiet indeed.
The hotel operate a free shuttle service to and from Schiphol airport every 30 minutes and it is important to book when going to the airport as it can get full.
Travel into Amsterdam Centraal costs EUR 4 from Schiphol station by train. The ticket machines do not accept notes, only coins and cards. If you travel from Hoofddorp station, which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel, the cost is EUR 4.80 but the ticket machine only takes coins or Dutch cards.
The rooms were clean and functional and the breakfast was quite basic but adequate. There was a choice of packaged meats and cheeses, hard boiled eggs, juices, hot beverages, pastries, breads and toast.
The hotel has no restaurant for lunch or dinner, with L'Hirondelle being the nearest option nearby. It does have a small bar.
Whilst I would happily stay at the hotel for a brief stay again, it's probably worth getting a hotel located in the centre of the city if you're staying in Amsterdam for any length of time.
