Schipol's airport is way out of town if you plan to go to Amsterdam during a long layover. This hotel is around 10 min distant from the airport and a free shuttle bus departs from the Pick Up Area (Stop A09) every 30 min. The room is functional and fits up to 3 people (1 double bed and an overhead single one). There's ac and a tv with a movies channel, no phone in the room; they provide towels, soap and plastic cups. Hotel staff were nice and polite: check-in was quick. You can book a buffet breakfast once you arrive, it cost EUR 7.50 per person by the time I stayed in - didn't eat there since I had enough supplies previously bought but it smelled so good! I could spot different pastries and breads, orange juice, coffee, tea and milk. What else could you have to start a good day? They also have vending machines and telephones by the reception area.
My two only complaints - and they weren't that bad, I reported them to the staff - were on the wifi signal (which is free, by the way): they assigned me to the last room on a wing hall (Room #224) so reception kept failing: best place to get it was in the toilet. 2nd drawback was on the cleanliness: I'm a cleaning-freak and I found a mosquito smashed against a wall. Anyways, I would use the Ibis Budget Hotels again whenever I can find them!
