“Not bad for a stop over just keep your expectations modest”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2011

Stayed here 3 times whilst passing through Amsterdam in the past few months. Room rates are reasonable for an airport hotel (90 euro). The hotel is modern with clean modular rooms designed for quick turn over.. Beds and bedding are clean and comfortable. Showers are hot. TV and internet are pay as you go. My TV was broken on my last stay and no one seemed to have any interest in fixing it when I asked. Check in tends to be a bit dragged out despite reception being well staffed. The young and handsome Dutch crew seemed to spend a lot of time talking to one another but are cheerful and helpful once you get their attention. The hotel has several restaurants which is good because the hotel sits in the middle of an office park and there are no restaurants, pubs or shopping close by. Unfortunately the prices are breath taking A. Beer in the pub cost 7 euro or nearly 10 American dollars. The restaurants and vending machine prices are similarly astronomical. A good tip would be to hit the A.J. Hein grocery store at the Schiphol airport shopping arcade and make up a picnic lunch or breakfast. They have a lovely assortment of Dutch sandwiches, cheeses and beverages including beer and wine at a more favorable cost.
A bus service runs to and from the airport 2-3 times an hour at least in theory. Unfortunately the published schedule is largely a suggestion as it does not run that often in reality and can be quite jammed with people and luggage which you must haul on board your self. So allow extra time.

Still all in all not a bad value. Nobody goes to an airport hotel for an extended vacation any way and for the money you could do a lot worse for a one night stay.

Room Tip: Only one wing of the hotel a/c in the rooms. In Amsterdam you probably won't care but in the few...

I stayed in this hotel for an overnight layover between flights. The hotel is a 10 minute free shuttle ride from the Schiphol airport. As can be expected with an airport hotel, it is very high traffic and the reception area is very busy, especially when a shuttle arrives. There were two sections of the hotel separated by a bridge and one of them seemed to be a newer wing. This was where my room was located and I preferred it as it was away from noisy escalators and elevators. The hotel has a gift shop and a few restaurants although I didn't use them. The room was cozy and comfortable. I had a good night's sleep before catching a flight early next morning.

Stayed here one night. Quick check-in. Lots of restaurant options on site. Very good for late night. Asked and received non-smoking room but it stunk of smoke. Received a free wi-fi pass for use in the lobby only but it didn't work. Internet fees are high. Room was clean. Toilet seat was stained but not found after had already settled in so just didn't touch it. I had stayed at the Etap next door on my previous trip. The Ibis has more amenities and the staff is very friendly, but if you just need to sleep I recommend the Etap. Both have very frequent shuttle to the airport.

we needed a place to stay for the night since we had to catch our flight back to india and at the same time value for money close to the airport and free pick-up and drop facility to and fro from the airport...... there were quite a few options and we chose Ibis and were quite happy with our decision...... check-in was instant friendly staff at the reception.... the breakfast spread was awesome and what was surprising was that it was open at 5 in the morning which is good especially when you have to catch a morning flight.....one thing that they can definitely work upon is customer service at the Pizza & pasta cafe... the lady who took our order behaved as if she was doing me a favor ... this was the only thing that bothered me during the stay else it is a perfect place to stay...

The quality of the wi-fi, which you pay for in the rooms is unacceptable. It keeps on dropping out. The hotel told me it was due to the heavy traffic. If the routers can't cope, then change them or make the service free.

Certain rooms are prone to noise coming from the smoking area at night. I sleep with my window open and the noise stemming from the smoking area carried on past 2 am.
