Sasha is very friendly landlady and it was nice to meet her in person after a couple of emails back and forth. Sasha was very accommodating and very responsive to emails which was helpful when our plans changed.
Like another reviewer mentioned, this B&B is not in central Amsterdam but with a bus running promptly to schedule every half hour, it was not a problem for us at all (plus free street parking was very handy!). The timetable is available at the bus stop across the road; on your return, the bus stop is directly in front of the B&B. In terms of convenience, we could not have asked for more. Bus 145 will get you to / from central Amsterdam (including the museum area) and the last bus back leaves the centre of town back to the B&B around midnight. Cost for a day ticket which can be used for 2 adults was €13.50 (purchase on the bus).
If you like dogs, Sasha might let her 2 very cute and non-jumpy / non-licking dacshunds in to greet you at breakfast time!
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Of course we'd all love to stay in a house overlooking a canal in the center of Amsterdam. But there are a few snags, especially if you're traveling with a family, or if you're on a tight budget, or if you're planning a longer visit and need to park your car. If that sounds familiar, we offer an excellent alternative at our comfortable home in the pleasant town of Badhoevedorp. ... more less
