Just as quoted above, the welcome smile is genuine, the beds have good mattresses, the metro is 5 minutes away, the price is competitive. It is hard to beat the kyriad if your target is the southern part of Paris and your budget is lean

Room Tip: ask for a room facing the side street, not the main street

Stayed here for the weekend and it was part of a cheap deal so i wasnt expecting much. Its fairly as you expect, its a basic hotel, small room with tv, tea and coffee, bathroom hair dryer soap etc. was a very amall room, smaller than what the pics look but did the job as it was really just a base for us to stay while we saw paris.

Very close to the metro and good links into town. Be careful though dont leave it too late to eat dinner, our first night we didnt get back til after 11, and the only restaurants open were for just drinks. (there is a subway shop it porte d'orleans 5 mins down the roadif you get stuck like we did)

The second night we ate at a restaurant near the metro thats not on trip advisor or any maps. Its directly opposite the station and the town hall, name begins with a Q. We looked at the menus of didferent ones before we picked this one. It is extremely reasonably priced compared to the well rated ones on here, but its not grubby or small like other reasonable priced ones in the area.

Really great food, meal was perfect, service was great and was obviously a popular restaurant. Had 2 main meals 2 drinks a dessert and a coffee, came to just under 50 euros.

The buffet breakfast is very basic, breads, couple of pastries, cereal yogurt and fruit, but enough to fill you up

The beds are extremely soft, not great if you have a bad back?

And no-one told us, either booking through wowcher, the travel company or the hotel at check in that there is city tax, only found out at checkout. 2 euro each paid cash.

The hotel is a big fraud. I had a reservation through a travel agent and they hotel asked me for unnecessary extra charges. When i disputed those, they told me i need not pay. When i was leaving they asked me to pay a nominal city tax and for which they asked me to pay via my credit card (Refused to take cash). Two days later they went ahead charged my account with an extra charge of 60 Euros without any authorization using my card details. I have disputed these with the bank and hopefully will get compensated.

The hotel is very basic and far from the city center, I would advise you not to stay here. I disagree with the other folks here who feel that the staff is friendly. Barring one lady at the reception all other people at the reception are curt and rude. They do not even wish you.

The breakfast is limited and rooms are small and gloomy. Its a small shady place would not recommend it.

Room Tip: Rooms have thin walls you can hear people walk or even whisper in the next room or coridor. The lif...
