“Not a great experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The room smelt of bad drains and the food in the restauraunt was mediocre at best. The burger was cold and the starter didn't taste of much at all. There are great restaurants around and about the hotel so that will be my choice next time I am in the area.

Room Tip: Sort out the drains, this was not the quality of stay I would expect.

I stayed at level 5 room. Room was good size with quite soft beds but very comfy. The only downside for me for was breakfast where wasnt many choices. There was only few salami and now vegetables. The bread they have there was amazing as typical for french. Reception staff was very helpful. So overall i was satisfied. Train station is 10 minutes walk from hotel. it is quite far from CDG airport.

You pay over 200 eur for a room excludind breakfast, located outside Paris... no extras whatsoever. I went for business, which was ok, but avoid if you are a tourist.

Bed was not so good, the cover sheet was wrinkled all the time and the pillows are either too hard or too small/not regular shape.

Very loud AC, houskeeping kept putting it to the maximum and it doesnt switch off inmediately.

There is a machine outside that runs overnight and it's very loud, so you cant open the window if u are within the first 3 floors.

Room Tip: AC is very loud and housekeeping keeps putting it to the maximum, Inform reception beforehand. ge...

We know Paris very well has we go their for three weeks every summer, has we don´t need to live directly in town centre we usually look for a decent hotel on the outskirts, fact is, you are anywhere in 20 minutes on the metro and i´m good with the 10 min walk to the station(Porte DÓrleans), anyone with two legs should be fine!

With regards to the hotel, we found it fine if you didn´t open the windows when the parked buses where running their engines, i really couldn´t understand what these buses where doing but it was annoying, other than that, the hotel is in a nice quiet street, their´s a few decent restaurants within easy walk and Montrouge can be reached in 5-10 minutes.

In the hotel itself, no real surprises if you are used to the Mercure, rooms are not big but they are fair sized, the shower was very good and their is tea and coffee making in the room if required, the breakfast was more than adequate but i for one can never understand people wanting a massive selection, i would rather small and fresh, the people working at Breakfast where very friendly and helpful.

With regards to the staff on reception, it´s a matter of luck when you stay at Mercure or Novotel , you always get a mixture of helpful and others who just fob you off, on our TV program it was supposed to be SAT 1 on number 50 but it wasn´t , we asked at reception and they asked us to try again, it goes without saying that we did and it still wasn´t their, they said someone would look at it, they didn´t even after we had mentioned it three times!

That´s the only situation that was annoying, suffice to say we didn´t ask again has it felt like begging but with no result at the end, that was a bit sad in a way, they could have simply answered we don´t have it anymore!

I would have no problem staying at this hotel again!

Hello and welcome to Montrogue, a small business district in the outskirts of Paris, 30 minutes from town. According to a tourist, this hotel is in the middle of nowhere. I'd have to say that if you want to tour around Paris, stay at another hotel, possibly in town (I'm sure there are plenty of pricier Accor Hotels in town). The hotel is old but recently renovated. The rooms are small and a bit cramped and the hotel only has 2 lifts. Breakfast in general is average, with a pretty small but understandable choice. Hotel staff are nice and helpful though.

Our tour group stayed at this hotel and it was wonderful! Very clean, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly- and very patient considering we had 30 kids with us- the beds were comfortable, and the wifi very good and reliable. The location was within easy walking distance of two metro stations and the neighborhood was safe and clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay again.
