“Not sure why you would choose to stay here...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 3, 2013

unless you were on an expense account. We were lodged here by Iberia for one night after our flight to London from Paris Orly was delayed long enough for us to miss a connection. We were given vouchers for Hotel accommodation and meals. When we heard it was a Mercure Hotel they booked us into we were quite excited, until we arrived. This Hotel may be fine if travelling for business on an expense account and it seemed to be bustling with that type of clientele. Not sure why you would choose to stay here if you were on a vacation in Paris, the location isn't great, the room rack rates were out of sight and more about the restaurant later. The choices for Paris accommodation closer to the centre of the city are many and with some easy searching we believe that you can find much better accommodation alternatives. Our room was basic and functional, but did I mention the rack rates? We stayed in the Rue Cler area three weeks earlier for 2/3 the price in a much more charming Hotel. The desk staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant staff just the opposite. We used our meal vouchers in the restaurant for well below average meals with service to match. On the flight home my wife commented that the meal served by British Airways was better than the meal served to us in the restaurant and you know what, she was right.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else.

Dear customer,

Thank you for leaving comments about your stay.
I'm sorry it did not correspond to your expectations.

The hotel was imposed by British Airways and I understand it does not fit your needs.
My team and I make every effort to meet the expectations of all our customers and to provide you a good time.

Thank you and see you soon in our Mercure hotels.
Best regards,

First of all I was suprised by an old "look & feel". The furniture , the color of wall and most of all....the smell! The smell in the rooms, the smell on the hallways.
The light in the room was very low with a horrible red lampshade
The bathroom wall was full of mold and needed some repairs. The cleaning has a lower benchmark in Mercure so I would choose diferently next time. Regarding the service I have ambivalent opinion: Jordan from the front desk has a very warm attitude with a very customer oriented welcoming. The girls that was serving breakfast almast trough us out when at 10 o'clock when we suppose to finish. The breakfast itself: average . Croissant and orange fresh works.
As a good point I would add: wi-fi; big bed and the tea in the room .
The metro station is at 10 minutes walk .

Stopped here on business. Was upgraded as I am a Platinum member. Room was nice and bed comfy. Bathroom was good also & free wi-fi. The only thing disappointing was the standard of the food in the hotel dining room. Not as good as some other Accor Hotels I have stopped at. I normally stay at the Gentilly Marriott as convenient for my business, however I prefer this Accor to the Marriott.

The location is not that nice, the first metro station is located at 10 or 12 minutes walk but it's a great value as for the same price inside the city, you would get an hotel with at least one star less.

The hotel parking is cheaper than a public one (17€/24h) but the access from the parking to the hotel is not convenient, especial with big luggages.
The breakfast is nice, the staff is not very smiley (that's common in France) but do the job.
The rooms are really big (not common in Paris) brand new and well furnished (i.e. the HD TV is just amazing, you're not in Paris to watch TV in your room, but I want the same TV at home now).
No A/C noise in the room, a was clean and well set.
I recommend that hotel.

This Mercure hotel is very well managed: the staff is friendly and efficient.
The rooms are quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is great!
The hotel is NOT in Paris but very close, thanks to the newly opened subway station "Mairie de Montrouge" on Line 4.
Overall, while you will not get the glamour of nice Paris streets, you will save money.
I would stay here again anytime!

Business hotel very well situated if arriving in Paris from the South by car which can then be left in the garage (or on a much cheaper public parking space, particularly on weekends) while the metro is being used to go into town. Count 10-15 minutes to walk to the station. Rooms and bathrooms are small, but functional, modern, clean and quiet. Staff is professional, helpful and friendly. An alternative to this is the very similar Novotel. I would simply select the one that offers the better price at the moment of booking. Another modern, but more modest, but cheaper, hotel in the area is the Ibis.
