“great relax in a crowdy place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

This is perfect place to enjoy Camogli busy summernights and sea. We spent a great weekend at Cenobio. I was a little bit scared due some bad reviews and in addition, my room was the last available and I was told it was without sea view. I thought I should stay in a room with a view on the car parking. I was really surprised when I got into the room. The view was wanderful with the Camogli beach and castle in front of us. The service was very good and we could spend to great days in the private beach.
Nothing to say. It was a great weekend. Thanks Cenobio!

Room Tip: Some garden view rooms have a wonderful sea view and Camogli view

We stayed in this beautiful hotel for 3 nights and loved it! Upon arrival we got upgraded to a big spacious view room without any extra charge with a private terrace overlooking the pool area. The hotel is spotlessy clean with a impeccable service. We also tried the food in both of the restaurants and found it very good. The hotel is located in a perfect location on a rock with an amazing view over Camogli and the sea and just next to the train station and Camogli city centre. They also have a private parking without any extra charge. We are already planning our return for next summer! Thank you for a romantic and relaxing holiday!

The room was awful. When you book a garden view, you get a parking view. There is simply no garden at the hotel. The room was old, very small. You could hardly get around the bed. The shower was so small you had trouble to wash you hair because you constantly bang your elbow against the door. We asked to change the room and got one even worse in the roof of the hotel next to a chimney with awful smell of food. We could understand every word of the people in the room next door, we heard them put on the light. We do not like the noice of airco and put it off. It is incredible, but you hear in your room the airco of the room next door. The rooms do not match at all with the photos on the website.
If you want a good place at the pool of beach, they charge extra. People from outside the hotel get the best places because they rent chairs for several weeks.
Breakfast was not bad, but unfortunately it is inside and staff is very rude.
The only good thing at the hotel is the location.

So we didn't stay here but I would love to in the future. We ate lunch on the patio overlooking the beach in Camogli. It was gorgeous and the food and wine were great! We stayed with family an hour's drive away but spent the day in Camogli and then drove along the coast a bit which was lovely.

Not being the greatest map reader we ended up in Camogli instead of Portofino. Not wanting to negotiate the narrow streets any longer we approached reception about a room (we were drawn in by the ability to park our car!) We were more than pleasantly surprised to find this gem of a hotel. Beautiful setting, private beach, very comfortable room, gourmet breakfast, we felt like all our Christmas' had come at once! We only stayed one night due to time restrictions but given the opportunity I would have stayed a week! Camogli is now one of my fondest vacation memories. I feel very lucky to have accidentally ended up in paradise.

Enjoyed our recent stay at this beautiful hotel. Delicious food, beautiful location. Unusually beautiful swimming area -- choose the salt-water pool or the gorgeous private beach area. Gourmet breakfast included - a real treat. Lovely small Italian town and railroad station within walking distance.

The Cenobio Dei Dogi was a fantastic treat in the middle of our vacation. We had a triple room which helped make it a bit more affordable. And the room really isn't the point. The location is superb and the private beach made me feel like I was in a movie with the striped cabanas, cabana boys - the whole nine yards.

The salt water pool is also delightful and I encourage you to enjoy an Aperol Spritz poolside. Having an attractive Italian man bring you cocktails and snacks poolside is an experience everyone should have at least once.

My friends and I had every intention of going to the San Fruttuoso Abbey but once we started enjoying everything the hotel had to offer ... we never made it out to go sightseeing. We were only there for one night and we were all sorry to leave.

We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was also a wonderful treat - the food was terrific and the service even better. The same terrific waiters were on duty (and recognized and greeted us) the following morning at the superlative breakfast which is included. In short - stay here - you won't regret it.
