“First visit hope won't be last!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2012

I would agree with previous two reviewers, excellent service, friendly staff, clean rooms and absolutely outstanding views.Food good choice and would think there would always be something for everyone. Walk to limone wasn't an easy one although lovely. Mini bus shuttle good but could do with being more frequent in afternoon and during evening,a big gap with no return until 11 when bars were shutting at 10 . We had a minibus taxi and shared with another couple which cost 10 euros between us apparently a car was 8. There was entertainment 4 of the 7 nights we stayed. We travelled with crystal and booked a Venice trip prior to going with them it was 10 each cheaper than booking with the rep there. First visit to lake Garda thought it was beautiful and clean .loved the balcony views from this hotel and would certainly return.

Room Tip: Ask for a family room to ensure enough space

Just got back from a week long stay at this lovely hotel. As others have said, the view from your balcony is to die for although the heat made it a bit difficult to stay out there for very long! Early mornings watching the sun rise over Monte Baldo are the kind of thing that make a holiday. Hotel is very clean and well run. The food is plentiful and there was a four course meal every evening with drinks included. The room was kept clean and was very comfortable. We were skeptical about the 25 minute walk to/from Limone but we (in our 60s) managed it in 35 minutes in very hot weather - a pleasant walk but lots of ups and downs. If you're looking for a good place to stay in the Limone area then make it this one. You won't be disappointed.

I have just come back from this hotel after a 4 day stay, and it was great!
After about an hour and a bit on the coach from Verona airport, we arrived and checked in easily straight away wih very friendly staff.
I booked the room extremely last minute, and So I was not too sure what room I would be getting. I was is 216, which was a great little corner twin room with a view which took my breath away.
The room was clean and tidy with plenty of room for clothes, toiletries etc and the bed was also nice and comfy not like lying on a piece of wood. The balcony was in constant sun with a superb view of the lake and the town in the distance.
We had breakfast and an evening meal in the hotel as part of the package. The breakfast consisted of lots of fresh fruit, yoghurts, breads and pastries. There was some cooked breakfast eggs, bacon, mushrooms as well as teas/coffees and juices . We tried all the different options and it was all very nice indeed.
For the evening meal if you want a seat outside overlooking the lake then you need to get there by 6.30 as those tables go straightaway. The food was different every night, and there were a lot of fish options during my stay. There was veal one night which was easily the best I have ever eaten, and some of the desserts were too. There are different types of food including different pastas every night and potato/veg options also. There isn’t a mass amount of options which I guess is because the hotel isn’t particularly big, or maybe when we were there it wasn’t full. They do put the evening menu outside the restaurant in the day, but the food is nicer than they describe.
We only ate lunch there once on the last day as neither of us were big lunch eaters, but we did have a pizza which was a must in Italy and the grilled chicken and chips. Both of which were lovely, not oily or greasy, chips were proper chips and the pizza was a proper handmade pizza. Yum!
The hotel has a pool on the ground floor and also has sun loungers down by the lake itself, if you want a sun lounger then you will need to be quick as they seemed to fill up quite quickly on some days but they don’t like you leaving towels on them and walking off so they will move them if they see you haven’t been there a while.
The poolside bar staff were friendly and you can have a variety of food and drinks there. A coffee and a can of coke came to 5 euros. Which after the first day we did buy a few bottles of soft drink from the town for about 1.5euros and kept them in the fridge in our room. This was the only time we paid for drinks as they were included in breakfast/dinner. The hotel also do an afternoon tea at about 4-5pm with coffee and biscuits upstairs in the bar area which is also included.
In terms of the surrounding area the hotel offers a free shuttle bus down to Limone town which is definitely worth a visit. We didn’t get the bus as there is a footpath (which you need to cross over the road, go left around the car park, cross back over the road and walk down to your left to get on it as it was a bit hidden). The walk isn’t the smoothest and not the best in fancy flip flops. Some of the path is cobbles and some smooth. It isn’t very well lit so be careful as one night we didn’t start walking back until about half 9 and it did get dark! It was about a 25minute walk at a reasonable pace, and took us right into the town centre. It has some great little tourist shops, ice cream “gelaterias” and places for snacks, restaurants too. There is something for everyone, so worth a visit.
When you are leaving there is a shower room, toilets and a place to leave your bags as we had to check out by 10 but weren’t being picked up until 2. So we sat in the sun all morning, then go changed just before collection.
Overall the hotel and area was lovely and would definitely go back! The staff at the hotel were all extremely helpful and friendly too.
Great food, great views and a great holiday!!!

Room Tip: 216 was a great room!

As the hotel is built into the hillside, all rooms have a lake view which is breathtaking. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although the a/c struggled to keep rooms cool with outside temperatures of 30+ degrees. There are no tea/coffee facilities but a fridge is provided. Check-out time is an unusually early 10 o'clock; not good for afternoon/evening flights. Second only to its location, the best feature of the hotel is the very friendly staff, many of who felt like close friends within a few days. Top of the list is Bianca in the dining room. We would certainly go again and correction of the points mentioned above would earn the Panorama a 5/5 rating.

Room Tip: The building is upside-down so reception is on the top floor and the floor numbers increase as you d...

We have returned today from a fabulous 7 day stay at the Hotel Panorama. We can understand and echo all the comments about returning. The room was spotless although there is no iron or ironing board and no coffee making facilities. These tiny exceptions are forgotten however once you step out onto the balcony. The views are breathtaking. Swimming in the pool which overlooks the lake is like living a millionaire's life. The food is varied and plentiful. Every meal was quality and the staff could not do enough for you. Very polite and efficient. The minibus supplied is very efficient although there are gaps in the timetable when it may be easier to get a taxi back. These need to be booked in advance and cost us about 10 euros. we did a day trip to Verona - well worth it and also went to Malcesne by ferry. Very enjoyable.

Room Tip: A room with a lake view is essential!

This hotel could not be better placed for views of the Lake which is spectacular. The hotel was spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and helpful ( especially Bianca ) and the hotel never felt too busy. My room was spotless, although I can understand why some people may be disappointed that it was a little old fashioned. I thought it was quaint and charming.
I had no trouble securing a place on the shuttle bus even at the height of the season. Limone is a charming little place.
I would have given this hotel full marks but for one thing - the food. Salads and canapes were fine but the main course were so disappointing. Was I in Italy ? The first main I tried was linguine which was dry and lukewarm. Subsequent mains did nothing to give me the feeling that I would even like to try them far less be excited about them. Desserts were the standard out of the box type. What a shame that this hotel lets itself down here.
All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone, but perhaps on a B+B basis !

My husband and I have just returned from the Panorama in Limone. We have been there four times and enjoy it more every year. The Manager and all his staff are brilliant, the food very good, the rooms comfortable and the cleanliness excellent. The position of the Panorama is stunning with wonderful views from all rooms. The swimming pool setting is magical.
We again did the trip to the Dolomites which is a must. We also enjoyed visits to Malcescine, Monte Baldo and Riva, all very worthwhile. The lake cruise is also a lovely day out. If you want to go up Monte Baldo, make sure you go early in the morning as the queues later in the day are very long.
