It was a B & B in a very small walled city. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast ok. There were some touristy shops and some restaurants - we ate at one, it was ok. There is an information center. It is very close to Sienna Where we went for a day (loved that city). There is not much to do here (you can for 1 euro walk around the wall and there are vineyards surrounding the walled town which we enjoyed hiking through. Lots of hiking around and the B$B owner is a local guide and can set you up with almost anything you want to do. It is a good jumping off place to visit the surrounding area. And it is a little like stepping back in time and you can imagine what life was like in one of those small walled cities back then. There was small church across the square from our B&B. The only recommendation I would have is ask to not have a room where the windows opened on the square. The September weather was beautiful and we had the windows open while sleeping and in the morning around 7:30 it got EXTREMELY noisy (delivery trucks and powerwashing the edges of the square. I got up and shut and shuttered the windows and it blocked the noise but also the nice air that was coming in. I believe there are rooms the open on the other side of the building - though the view from this one across the square was pretty cool.
