“Charming and cosy....”

Sweet little town with some of the narrowest streets I've ever walked down and some great places to eat...

“A little gem lost in time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

Small cobbled street wind their way around the Acropolis, this is our 7th visit to Lindos and certainly won't be our last. No cars in the village, just donkeys and people taking in the sights. Great weather, restaurants, beaches and accommodation.

“Crowded”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

Very disapointed by the crowd, but the village is interesting if you can see something between the merchants and the tourists. Thanks God you have the Acropolis as a reward.

“Lindos visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

A must if you are visiting Rhodes. Lindos village below the acropolis tightly packed houses, shops and restaurants. Very busy during the day with holiday makers on day trips. Visit on a night time and it is totally different, streets are a lot quieter find a good restaurant get a table on the roof terrace and you see why the streets are quiet as everyone is sitting on a roof terrace enjoying good food with great views over the village..as you wander the deserted streets later at night when every shop is closed and all goods are locked away you get a real feel for what the village must have been like before the holiday boom.

“Lindos - touristic city but very cosy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

I heard that Lindos was too touristic and not worth the visit.
One thing sure is right: Lindos is very touristic, but you will not find one place in Rhodes which isn't set for tourists.
You will find many many souvenir shops, but unlike in Rhodes city, the shop owners do not harress you and let you browse the items thoroughly.
We have done a donkey ride up and down the Lindos acropolis. Although we felt bad for the donkeys having to carry us up and down the steep hill in that temperature (34° C), we knew that they were trained and they were very well kept and treated very nice by their owners.

Donkey ride is really worth its money (5€).
