“Great little place.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2013

We tried to get a table here for quite a few evenings. It's only small with about nine tables in total, some outside. Good for people watching. We thought we'd try on changeover day and just about got a table. Heard how good the moussaka was, so ordered two and a litre of house white, which came in a tin jug. Nice wine. The moussaka was delicious. The couple who run it are very friendly and work very hard. The bill only came to about €22. Will definately try here again next year.

“Overrated...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

Having travelled a lot around mainland Greece, I have to admit that I was mildly disappointed by this place and cannot jump on the bandwagon of the enthusiastic reviewers. Don't get me wrong - this is a decent place for a quick bite, but not more... Especially I would not consider it to be a place "off the beaten track", this is as touristy as most of the other places in Lindos and that means very touristy.

Still, all this would have been fine by me, if the food had lived up to the expectations. Unfortunately it did not - the pork chops were stringy and dry... The Tsatsiki was not convincing either, as it was too fatty and tasted like the ready-made Tsatsiki sold in Greek supermarkets...

In the end, an ok place, as there are worse places in Lindos. However, nothing to write home about...

“Dimitri's”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

I'm not sure Dimitri would recognise his own establishment from the title of the Tripadvisor listing but no matter. A Greek "greasy spoon" (which sounds a lot more derogatory than intended) they sell the standard street food items; gyros (€2.50), cheese pies (€2.00), spinach pies (€2.00) and some more substantial meals, all lovingly homemade.

It's always packed with locals, which should be a good sign. For a quick lunch, snack or dinner on the go I really recommend you check it out. Plastic chairs or no plastic chairs, the food is fantastic.

“Great Gyros!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We have eaten here many times over the years and their gyros are one of the best in Lindos! It's great sitting outside watching all the other tourists walking down the street as its very close to the main square. Good price too.

“Fabulous authentic food, good price and a warm welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013 via mobile

This small street side cafe doesn't have the gloss of many of the Lindos restaurants and you don't sit on the roof. However the food is the most tasty and authentic we found in Lindos. A full range of traditional food is served by the warm matriarch owner who fusses and chats as she serves you. The food is very good value at about 2/3 of the price of the bigger restaurants. People watching is fun as this restaurant has tables on the main covered thoroughfare thro lindos. We have eaten there 3 times so far in 10 days and will be going back. Don't miss this one.
