My girlfriend (21) and I (26) stayed at the Lindos Gardens in July 2007 for a week. We've been to 3 Greek islands now and this was the best hotel we've stayed in - really great room and pool but still with that Greek, low rise friendly feel. Our room was up the hill a bit near to the smaller infinity pool. We were a bit worried it would be a massive climb up, but actually if we returned we would want a room up here again, as the pool was a lot quieter and had brilliant views of the sea and the Acropolis, plus your own small bar for drinks.
We would recommend this hotel to anybody and would definitely return again at some point.
Lindos itself was brilliant - it has the best of both as it is really picturesque and unspoilt, with a gorgeous beach - not your typical brits abroad resort at all, but it still has more than enough restaurants and bars to keep you going easily for a week - we still had loads of really nice looking bars we wanted to try by the end of a week, some of them in old churches / chapels, really tucked away in the centre of the town.
We would recommend Socrates bar - it's tucked away behind a courtyard, hard to find but well worth a visit they play loads of cool old school Rock music, which is a bit different in Greece!
