My husband took me to Lindos Blu for my 30th Birthday. We arrived late, at 11.30pm and were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine before being shown to our room. We recieved a bottle of wine, a fruit bowl and cake which was lovely.
The view from this hotel over the bay is beautiful. It was so relaxing and peaceful. No kids which is brilliant!
The room was spacious and very clean. I really enjoyed the jacuzzi bath! Really liked the bathroom window (you can pull the blind down if you want more privacy). Bed and pillows were very comfortable.
Only problem with the room is no Iron. I've never stayed at a hotel before where you cannot have an iron (apparently its the 'law' in Greece). This was frustrating as we ended up having to pay for items to be pressed which the hotel do take advantage of and charge a lot of money for per item.
The wi-fi signal was very poor for us the entire week and we heard other guests say the same. It didnt matter to us, but if you needed it for work this would of been frustrating.
There are 2 pools outside, a larger one up the top and then a smaller one on a lower level. We used the smaller one as it was quieter and right near our room. It was totally relaxing sunbathing around this pool and looking out over the amazing view! The pool was really cold, would have been nice slightly heated as it was too cold to stay in but OK for a swim!
Slight smell of sewage every now and again.
There is a shop on the beach which sells 6 bottles of water for 2.20 Euros. You can then get ice to your room! Its a few minutes walk from the hotel. Next to the shop is a restuarant which we had a drink in every afternoon.
The beach isn't great and isn't kept very clean, there are piles of broekn sunbeds and umbrellas, but not on the area the hotel use. This didn't bother me as I much prefer a pool.
Breakfast and Dinner was delicious! I eat so much because all the food was lovely. If you go half board for breakfast is a large selection of hot and cold food buffett style. Dinner is then Soup, followed by a buffett course, followed by a choice out of 3 mains, followed by dessert from the buffett. Chocolate was the theme for dessert! You will not go hungry! Sitting outside to eat was perfect.
Staff were all friendly and the service was always excellent.
We walked to Lindos town which was about 20-25 minutes. We like walking, the problem was no pavements but we survived!
Overall, a really relaxing 5 days with gorgeous food and a perfect view.
