We stayed for a week in Sabadell on the back of the reviews for an alternative to staying in Barcelona- to get a better quality hotel. We certainly got that- the quality of the room is easily four star- very spacious, very comfortable beds, excellent varied breakfast, and very relaxing. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked good and good value.

Yes, it is far from Barcelona- we didn't have a car though and we found getting on the buses and trains a fun part of the trip, so I'd recommend if you are young and adevnturous! The train from Sabadell is amazing- so cheap and regular. However, the hotel is also a long way from Sabadell centre and the train station- be prepared for this. We used the buses from outside the hotel which were good and regular, but dont stay out too late and miss the last one as there are very few cabs! Though there is very little in the suberb where the hotel is, it is very nice, safe with huge houses and peaceful

Sabadell was great- the restaurants are fantastic and we loved the more authentic Catalan experience than if you stay in Barcelona. we felt we had the bets of both worllds. Best place was the market- really fantastic for a glass of cava, tapas and people watching.

Perfect for families with a car who want a spacious room outside of a busy city like Barcelona. But don't be put off if this isn't you- we found it an adventure and a good opportunity to see a town like Sabadell that isn't full of tourists!

Room Tip: all seemed great

Too far from Barcelona, and also from Sabadell city center. Room was OK, with kitchenette which I did not use. Breakfast OK, internet was working but the speed was low. Nothing special in the surrounding. It was a good stay but I would try another hotel next time.

We found the rooms and bathrooms to be the largest we've ever had in Spain. The beds and pillows comfy. Rooms and bathrooms clean. It was a distance from Barcelona center but we had a car. We did not eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food or its service. The desk personnel we met upon check-in didn't speak adequate English so we were a bit frustrated but check-out went without a hiccup. There is a kitchenette and fridge in every room but no "dishes" or flatware. We were fine and brought plastic from the restaurant to eat our carry-out. I would definitely stay here again because of the wonderful value.

Clean good room but rather a long way from Barcelona unless (as we did), you have a car with you. Described as self catering yet no kettle available and you have to ask for crockery/pans etc and they are very old and tatty when you get them. However, we tended to eat in Barcelona so it didn't really matter for us.

We drove to Barcelona by car from the Netherlands and we found a very cheap family room online for 3 nights. Sabadell is about half an hour drive from Barcelona but we didn't mind. The downtown was quiet and you can find everything you need (supermarket, restaurants, drug store), people were friendly.
The rooms were really nice, it was clean and up to standard. Since we had to stay at a crappy room in Paris before we came there it felt like we stayed in a palace!
Breakfast was ok, not really special but OK for European standard (Americans will be dissapointed because it's too light), you can get fresh fruit in a bowl. The mangoes were scrumptious.
Most people who come to this hotel are business people but I really recommend family going here. The view was nice (it's located on a valley) and there are also many things to explore in Sabadell.
If you are on a budget you can always get pre-prepared meal at a local restaurant and heat it up in your room. (our room has a fridge and microwave!)

Room Tip: Choose the one with kitcheneries if you are on a budget.

Good rooms, great value and a nice part of town, not too far from the station to be able to get into barcelona. car would be handy and a good hotel if you are playing the magnificent el prat golf course a few kilometres away. breakfast was decent and wifi ok.
