The "Villa Gruber" has the same management as the nearby "Alla Dama Bianca" Hotel. While the "Dama Bianca" is smack on the seaside, the "Villa Gruber" is just a few meters inland (you still have a sea view from the room window). It is a lovely villa surrounded by a small, lush garden, where you can eat breakfast in good weather. There are only a few rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, some with antique furniture. Absolutely peaceful at night, as the road ends there. Public transportation is not far, but a car is a plus. Trieste itself is a 30 minute drive away.
All in all, excellent value for money.
