“Nice owner from Bexley”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

If this is the one near to the railway line - which I think it is - we actually did not get a very good meal here (of dull pasta) but it may have partly been because the boss was spending an inordinate amount of time trying to serve a large group from Israel or Albania or Serbia or some such who wanted to know the ingredients of everything on the menu and hardly spoke a word of English (and no Italian)! He though is most charming and used to live for years and years in Britain and if I went back we would give it another try - we might have chosen in a hurry and perhaps were not encouraged to order more or stay too long (as slightly wedged in behind the group).

“Even Better in the Peak Season”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2012

We visited again the restaurant this weekend and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. We only had the chance of eating inside as the outside was booked in advance. Fish was amazing, linguine allo scoglio and scampi salad my favorite courses. Good the wine selection, better the whites, special mention for the house wine that was good as well (we had 2 bottles and then tried the house one not to open a new bottle). The service was a bit rough but I assume because of the crowd, when we left 10pm loads of people were queuing outside, no pressure from the staff to leave but... Friendly people and good value for money, to be visited.

“Rustic and typical.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2012

Don't be put off by first impressions ie. the railway line. This is a wonderful little reataurant with very good food. The menu is in Italian but the waiters can translate. It always helps to try and speak the language of the country. It is everything you would expect from a rural restaurant. Excellent meats, fish pasta etc.

“Very popular with the locals..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2011

We had to wait 15 minues to get in because it was so popular. It was worth the wait - great varied menu. Not many tourists - seemed to be mainly locals eating there.

“Delicious Food the best place in Golfo Aranci”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2010

This restaurant was suggested by a friend and it's not advertised on turistic guides or website. It's not on the seaside but nearby the railway path so outside the turistic routes. We were suggested to reserve, as we did, and the food was so delicious that we went there twice.
You can have pizza or seafood and both are delicious. A must have are the Orecchiette with chickpea, cherry tomatoes and seafood, the tuna tartare and only upon reservation the lobster spaghetti...yummy!
We never spent more than 23-30 euros excluding wine.
If i'll be back, for sure I'll go to La Capricciosa!
