This doesn't look anything special from the outside - slightly scruffy Biergarten, with tables and chairs, big umbrella/sunshade and atmospheric lights, but inside has good ambience, and friendly staff.
We happened to hit a time when the Steinpilze - forest mushrooms - were on specials, and it was so worth paying extra for !! I had them in a sauce with some sort of noodly dumplings, my husband had the Schnitzel version. These were preceded by a shared salad, which came on 2 plates, and would have fed 4! (German portions are huge!)
The best meal we'd had in Germany so far. With several drinks - beer, wine and water - it came to about €55, and was worth every penny.
