“Just out of town, small, comfortable and very friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Our first stop off on our French trip this year and met up with my brother and sister in law, just a short drive into Le Touquet, next time we will hire bicycles and use the bike lanes. Breakfast finishes early, but we were still offered a late breakfast on the terrace but decided to walk over the road to the golf club restaurant and enjoyed and excellent breakfast there. Lovely swimming pool and area, comfortable and quiet rooms, will certainly return.

This hotel is now named Le Manoir. It was founded in 1904 together with the golf course "en face". Is is a very fine hotel with French/British atmosphere. Nice service. Ask for room nr 1, very quiet, with side view or nr 4 or 5 on the front side that may suffer from some noise.

The menu du jour changes every day and is of excellent quality for the money.

You will find no better hotel if you want to play golf in that area.

Travelled with two friends for a one night golf break booked through Your Golf Travel. The whole package was arranged including hotel, golf, buggies and Eurotunnel travel.

Having never played abroad before, I was very much looking forward to the experiecne and none of us were disappointed!. Le Touquet is absolutely stunning and the hotel was a delight. Built in the early 1900s, it was the family home of the course designer and it really retained a country house feel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, rooms were individual and quirky but lovely. (We had rooms 8 and 11). Food was excellent - only slight quibble was that the entrees were fish based only. My partner does not like fish and although we were able to choose something else from the a la carte menu (at a supplement), I felt that the hotel could have offered an alternative. However the rest of the evening meal was excellent as was the choice at the breakfast buffet the next morning.
.
Tthe hotel is opposite La Mer and La Foret golf courses, which had been booked for us as part of the deal. Had a great couple of days playing golf on these challenging courses after which time we enjoyed a drink or two served by very friendly staff in the clubhouse.

Would thoroughly recommend the hotel (and the beautiful surrounding area of Le Touquet) for a break of any sort, not necessarily including golf . With the fantastic beach only 10 minutes away by car, this would make a great venue for a weekend break. We will return here and would definitely stay at the hotel. Recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main hotel

Just spent 3 nights in this very good hotel. Food is excellent, Room small but comfortable. Staff very friendly. Also handy for some excellant courses within 30 minutes drive.
The room only had a bath. I would have prefered a shower. Alo quite small, but booked through Golf Breaks, so probably had to make do with a budget room

Room Tip: We booked through golf breaks, so not the best room. Book direct for a better room

Just come back from a 2 night 3 day stay and play trip with Your golf travel to Le Manoir, Hotel bar and dining area was great however the room (we were in one of the bungalows in the gardens which was nick named the electricity box) was not anything special and i felt let the hotel down, there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the in the room with only the basic tv channels to view (we were ok but one of our group was a non golfer)also the heated swimming pool was EMPTY and we were advised that it is only filled in July and August???
Breakfast was good and the first night included dinner was excellent.
pricing at the bar was expensive for a golf hotel and we ate in Le Touquet for the other meals where there are some good fish restaurants (again not cheap however good quality).
But we are here for the golf and both courses did not disappoint, excellent courses le mer and le foret with le mer playing different on both days we played, 1 windy and one not VERY DIFFERENT, i would gladly have pictures of le foret hanging on my wall as it is very picturesque
and more of a parkland type course. there is also the 9 hole course which looked great however we did not get to play
6 euro's for a pull trolley so i would take your own (we did not have room however would next time)
For what we paid it was value for money however the room let the overall trip down a little, there are rooms in the main building and perhaps if i was going back would insist on one of them rather than the electric box in the garden.

Also disappointed that we had a call from the hotel after we left advising we had not settled a bar bill for 2 coffee's which we had not had, as everything was paid for in cash when had it , but had to ring to clarify from England after several messages left on my mobile to have them removed from my bill. 2 coffee's?? i could understand for 2 bottles of wine.
Value for money?good which could have been excellent had we stayed in the main building.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main building

Went on a golf package for 3 days and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is warm and friendly and our room (5) was spacious and very modern although in the manoir itself. The staff were helpful and attentive. The restaurant was of a good standard, although the limited set menu we had one evening as part of our package was not to my taste (snails and kidneys) we were able to chose from a la carte and pay the difference. Breakfast was lovely; good quality with lots of choice even though it was not a hot breakfast. You just walk across to the golf courses which is very convenient, but I agree that 12 Euros for the 5 minute taxi ride into Le Touquet was expensive! We enjoyed both golf courses; La Foret was easier and La Mer was in great condition.

Had a great stay at Le Manoir Hotel recently.
We had a 2 night stay with 3 rounds of golf. La Floret was in fairly good condition, fairways and tees very good. However greens very slow and very grainy!!
La Mer was in first class condition and was a pleasure to play.
We had a round at Hardelot Pins which was very pleasant and in good conditon.
Food and drink prices in the clubhouse at both course a little expensive buy you factor that in on a golf trip.
Back to the hotel.Well full of character and charm, staff very friendly and the service first class.
Bedrooms very clean and tidy and comfortable.
Had a few frames of snooker too.
Swimming pool not in use but not really in season for a swim.
With our package we had a welcome dinner from the menu of the day and also a bottle of house wine.
Presentation of the food and taste of the food was first class and made our stay memorable to say the least.
I will certainly be going back in the near future.
Location is great and only a 40 minute drive from Calais. However factor in a minimum of a 30 min delay for the Tunnel crossing!!!

Will be booking a return visit very soon
