“Very convenient and modern close to the airport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2011

This hotel is very conveniently situated at very close range of the airport in Brussels; it has a regular shuttle service that will take you back and forth to the hotel in 5 minutes. The hotel itself has been entirely renovated and modernised and offers excellent price/quality. The rooms are not very large, but clean, modern and soundproof. The staff is friendly and professional and breakfast is good. It is served on the first floor in a nice environment with large windows offering views of the central garden. So, this hotel is certaily to be recommended to the business traveller who wants to stay close to Brussels airport and not pay too much money for a hotel.

Nothing extraordinary, really. Just a proper hotel. Sound proof room against planes and traffic. Big shower head with proper thrust (which was nice). Expensive breakfast (€ 20) and not much choice. I would've preferred a breakfast in a typical Begian brasserie.

I stayed in this hotel because I had a flight in the morning and seemed to be closed enough to the airport. This was the case indeed, the shuttle from the airport to the hotel only takes 3 minutes.

I payed 105e for a double bedroom, which I find ok.
The room itself had enough space for you to feel comfortable, and a couch to relax.

The bathroom had a bathtub and a separate shower. The toilet was in a separate space in another part of the room.

I have to admit that, looking at little details, you notice that the room wasn't new (a tiny piece of paint flaked out, a little bit of rust on a tap...), but nothing major, really.

Hair dryer and sock for electric shaver in bathroom.

The hotel got a nice fitness center with sauna (steam), which I didn't have time to try, unfortunately. Also an outdoor swimming pool.

No vegetarian option in the menu (quite a problem for me).

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2010

My husband and I traveled to Europe over the Christmas holiday. We were scheduled to have a layover in Brussels, but due to snow, our connecting flight was canceled. So, we decided to get a room near the airport and make the best of our situation by checking out Brussels for the day. We chose the Novotel because the price was reasonable and they had a free shuttle to/from the airport. The shuttle runs from 6 in the morning until 11:30 at night and arrives at the airport approximately every 20 minutes. The ride from the airport is super quick (five minutes at most). The rooms are large (by European standards), they are clean and the location of the hotel is good for its proximity to the airport. The staff isn't the friendliest--either they didn't speak English well or they weren't that interested in helping us. But, we did fine on our own.

To get into town from the hotel, you take the airport shuttle back to the airport, take the train from the airport to Brussels and you will find yourself right in the middle of the city. It is easy to get back to the hotel as well--just take the train back to the airport and the shuttle back to the hotel.

All-in-all, a good hotel--especially in a pinch!

A good hotel for a stay whilst doing business in Diegem. Comfortable, clean. A little isolated if you dont have a car, but plenty of taxis available.

This hotel is a good choice if you are looking for a hotel near the airport. It's modern, clean and the rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished. The free airport shuttle runs every 20 minutes. The breakfast buffet offered a lot of variety. We did not eat in the restaurant, but enjoyed drinks and a simple meal in the bar where the service was excellent.
