I stayed here on business for one night - manly for the central Wokingham Location to beat the traffic.
The hotel has been taken over by a nearby Hotel business and it was obvious that things had been improved markedly from the previous management.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and made you feel at home.
The location is right next to the busy Railway line, though the Hotel have installed additional internal glazing to compensate.
I had a fairly large double room facing the railway and found it a little noisy, due to the train horns mainly, but I gather this is a problem throughout the country with the new type they have.
I recommend getting a room at the front as the road at the front is pretty quiet at night.
The hotel had ample parking to the rear at no extra cost.
Due to the entrance being at the rear away from the road and the position of the reception, there was a feeling of good personal safety about the hotel.
The room had excellent facilities including a wide screen flat LCD television, trouser press, phone, tea making stuff, Iron and board, a Shower that had pretty good pressure and plenty of hot water..
Cleanliness was reasonable, but could have been slightly better.
The room interior and fittings plus bathroom was a little dated (Looked late 80's), but was in reasonably good condition.
We ate in the town which is 5 minutes easy walk away and has many pubs and restaurants.
Breakfast was very nice with freshly cooked eggs and the restaurant service was good.

All in all due to the great location and good service and facilities it is quite an OK hotel, considering the prices and hotel availability in the area..
