We have visited the Pacifica over the past few years and our experience had ranged from good to poor. Having read the recent positive reviews we decided to try again and were very pleased that we did.
We arrived in the early evening without a reservation and were warmly welcomed and immediately seated. We were given the choice of the a la carte menu or an early evening menu which was competitively priced. We chose the former and had crab and sweetcorn soup, King Do ribs and then fillet steak with black pepper sauce, chicken and cashew nuts, duck with black bean sauce and yeung chow fried rice. The quality of the food was sublime and the meat melted in the mouth. The sauces were more subtle than run of the mill Chinese food and we were in food heaven. Prices for the a la carte menu reflect the quality of the food. Service was friendly and attentive. The only comment I would have is that the music is a little too loud and if the volume was reduced it would be perfect.
