“Brilliant value for money, excellent service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2010

Because we didn't book this hotel ourselves (we were part of a wedding party) we wern't expecting much considering how little we paid.

I cannot reccomend this hotel enough. Our room was huge and spotlessly clean with a double bed and a sofa that also turned into a double bed. The bathroom was beautiful and all brand new.

The staff were all fantastic, nothing was too much for them.

The breakfast (included in price) was very good and had a choice of full english, fruit or pastries and a good few types of coffee.

There is also a weatherspoons, subway, greggs, dominos and a nightclub but to name a few on the same retail park so if you arrive late on you can still get something to eat.

Basically this hotel is all brand new, spotlessly clean and great value for money

A top value, top end motel style hotel. Decor is modern, clean and comfortable. We paid £49 for b and b, which was half the price of Premier inn up the road. Staff are very helpful, even at breakfast when the pressure is on. Top tip would be to go to breakfast about 830, as 900 seems to be when everyone descends. Stay here, you won't be disappointed.

This hotel is geared towards making your stay comfortable and efficient whilst keeping the price low. I like it very much, this being my 3rd stay. There's plenty of parking, check-in and bar 24/7 as well as reasonably priced cold food and snacks 24/7. The rooms are comfortable and modern this being a recently built hotel. I love the lounge/restaurant/breakfast area with its centrepiece high table. The breakfast is great (included in the price) and is so quick to get through which is handy as I like to drive on to my destination to arrive before 9am. I allowed myself some cooked breakfast and some chilled with plenty of Juice. And yes the juice glasses are tiny and yes you do need to keep going back! I grabbed a banana and a muffin after a yoghurt. It's popular with business people on a budget who just need a comfortable nights stay and to get away early from what I can gather. I love the atmosphere here!

Stayed for 2 nights over August bank holiday with husband and parents. Paid £39.00 per room per night incl breakfast, and it was well worth the money. Staff are friendly and polite with fast check in. Our rooms were next to each other on 2nd floor and were very modern and very clean. The hotel was fully booked during our stay and you would expect the hotel to be busy and noisy but NOT AT ALL in fact it was so quiet we didnt hear
anybody above us or noise from slamming doors like you usually get in hotels, this was
heaven....along with the comfiest bed we have ever slept in in a hotel. The breakfast was
great, self service hot and cold buffet with 3 different strengths of coffee as well. We didnt eat in the hotel at night we ate on the first night at the wetherspoons across the car
park and the second night we ate at The Sondes Arms in Rockingham which was excellent. We would definitely stay here again as it was an excellent base for touring the
area of Rutland.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in August 2010 whilst visiting a nearby fair. The room and bed was very good for the price of the hotel, the room was clean with a nice bathroom. The location as many other say is pretty poor and the Wetherspoons next door is also only just OK. However reading TA reviews we knew what to expect and thought it very good value for money. On our second night (a Saturday) our key did not work when we returned mid evening to the hotel. The manager informed us that a wedding reception disco would be immediately below us and noisy so offered us to be moved to a higher floor and away from the disco. We were very impressed with this attitude but a little less impressed with the second room. However we were grateful to be able to sleep in a quiet room as we had an early start the next day. We felt the breakfast was quite good for this standard of hotel. There are some lovely villages nearby and we had a super meal at the Sondes Arms in Rockingham.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It isn't in a beautiful location but is quiet and easy to get to and handy for lots of lovely places - Stamford, Oakham, Rutland Water, etc. The room was modern and well furnished and the fittings of good quality. They're right to make a fuss about the beds - I've almost never had a better sleep in a hotel bed. Breakfast surprisingly good, with three different types of coffee available ['normal', 'robust' and decaffeinated]. Good facilities. I'll go again.
