“Should be busier!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2014

Had a lovely meal at OCH on last Sat in June. This place is phenomenal value and kids very well catered for. Menu is short but well executed and service is genuine. I hope to see the restaurant more busy next time we visit!

“Good food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2014

Had an evening meal there on a Monday night and although the food was good quality was a bit lacking in atmosphere as we were eventually only diners at 8pm.However overall environment is good so reckon on another night would be much better.Would certainly go back.

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2014

A group visit for an evening meal was disappointing. At first we had trouble getting in as the doors appeared to be locked. Once inside we waited 20 mins for attention and were then told we had to go to the bar for any drinks we wished to buy! No waiter service and quite a long trek from the function room to the bar in the main restaurant -- and back carrying a tray full of drinks. We were not a young group. Meal ok, but nothing special. Staff didn't seem interested in whether we had enjoyed the evening. At no point were we asked if all was ok. Won't hurry back.

“Afternoon Cream Tea”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2014

My wife and I visited this restaurant recently, for the first time, for an afternoon 'cream tea', courtesy of a Groupon voucher. When I phoned to reserve the table I was offered an option to upgrade the deal to include sandwiches, which I did for a small fee.

The restaurant itself is clean, fresh and airy and the staff were welcoming and friendly.
The quality and quantity of food was very good indeed, as was the quick service.
Also, both the lunch and evening menus provide a good selection of choices at reasonable rates.

We definitely plan to return with friends in the near future!

“Extremely enjoyable evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2014

Great setting with lovely views out to the cathedral or to the well kept gardens to the rear. Nice decoration, very tasteful. Overall a really pleasant eating environment. service was efficient and unobtrusive, the young girls were all clearly well trained in their art. Fabulous choice on the dinner menu with added specials. Some interesting and unusual choices and a good variety for vegetarians. The lemon and lime creme brulee was delicious. We all had three courses which were thoroughly enjoyed be all, absolutely delicious. Wine and coffee were also part of the meal, again very good. The bill was reasonable for three. A great meal out with a a return visit a definite.
