“Exceptional service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

My husband and I would like to thank the staff of this fabulous restaurant for making our golden wedding anniversary one we will never forget. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal in the fine dining restaurant and were treated to complimentary champagne when staff realised it was a special occassion. The piano player was marvelous and although the restaurant was full, the service could not have been better. Thanks again. Mary.

“Coffee and cakes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

I have been to this cafe twice now and both times I have been welcomed and seated quickly. There are few places to eat out in Dunblane at reasonable cost with good tasting food so this cafe is a breath of fresh air. The cappachino's are great especially with a tasty macaroon! I have also had a nice cocktail which was refreshing on a hot day, the view seated by the window is an awesome picture of the town and nice relaxing couches to lounge on and enjoy a coffee and chat with friends.

Looking forward to going back for my dinner.

“Looked So Promising”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

We arrived 1pm. FOH chap seemed stressed and very keen to "pigeonhole" us table wise depending on whether we were eating or just having coffee. I understand the reasons for this in principle however its important not to make coffee goers feel less important clients whilst doing this. And actually we decided to have lunch. Unfortunately, it didn't get much better. There was a tense feel, we waited ages for a table and a couple who came in after us were seated before us. After being seated we ordered the vegetable soup and baguettes. The food arrived another 25minutes later. The soup had to be returned as it was cold. The chicken Caesar baguette was devoid of flavor and the chicken had not been boned properly as I got a bone and a large piece of grizzle in it. The pulled pork was something less than average, tasteless and a little oily. The chef had "run out of dressing" when I asked for some for the side salad. On the upside, the male waiter was lovely and slightly embarrassed as he mentioned the chef was in the kitchen alone. I said the food wasn't good and the waiting time unacceptable yet no move was made to make up for this. We paid our bill and went to a different café for coffee and dessert.

“Something Different for Dunblane”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

Early Sunday dinner in the Brasserie was excellent. Menu was certainly different from the usual "Steak Pie/Lasagne" but the steak was beautiful as was the fish. We will certainly be back!
