“Premier Inn - Just what you need”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

One thing about Premier Inn's, they are all the same meaning you get what you expect - a comfy room with a great bed and soft pillows. Peel Park is no exception, a really friendly welcome, quick and easy check in and a clean fresh room, perfect. The "pub" restaurant however was disappointing, sticky tables without table cloths and a leaking ceiling with buckets to catch the rain water. The fish, chip and mushy peas served up for an evening meal were probably the worst I have ever had, cold chips and peas with a steaming hot fish, an odd contrast. My wife also thought the Carvery was quite poor. With the rain water still dripping into the buckets the next morning the hearty breakfast saved the day - good choices and nice coffee. Premier Inns are always my preferred choice but I do feel the Restaurant needs to be assessed, it isn't up to the standard of the Hotel.

Room Tip: We had rooms 18 & 19 both were excellent - One tip though, eat out somewhere else in the evening...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for our hotel, I am glad that you found our hotel to be friendly, welcome and comfortable.
I am so disappointed that you did not have a good experience in the restaurant next door. I will feed all of these issues back to the manager and ensure that they are resolved as soon as possible.

Kindest regards

We arrived on at 2 pm and left at 12 midday the following day so we were guests for the max time for a single night stay. The staff were very welcoming and apologetic in respect of the oversight of no tea bags. This was instantly rectified. The room was spotless and and a fan was in place to circulate the warm air. The only drawback was that we missed breakfast which was our fault as we had not listened to the times but when we went for breakfast at 9.15 is was unfortunately already to late. Plenty of alternatives nearby. This premier inn suited us and who knows if in the area we might stay there happily again

Thank you for your lovely review of our hotel. I would like to apologise for there being no tea bags in your room, I am glad that the team quickly resolved the issue for you.
What a shame that you missed breakfast, although you are right we do have quite a few alternatve restaurants around us.
Hopefully you will be in the area again as it would be lovely to see you.

Excellent value and clean and comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff. Convenient location to break journey from London to Highlands. Only negative, carvery next door was very dried up although it was cheap. Pudding was lovely though.

I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us, and I also hope you had an amazing time in the Highlands. We are indeed a handy stop over to ease the long journey from the south.
I will ensure that I pass on your kind comments to the rest of the team. I will also be sure to feedback your comments about the carvery to the restaurant manager.

Stayed here for one night and had no complaints.
The room was huge with a king size bed and well equipped with everything you could need. Everything was spotlessly clean too.
There was digital tv, hairdryer, handwash and shower gel dispensers, kettle, tea and coffee supplies and even a fan to try and cope with the hot weather.
The room overlooked the car park at the back of the hotel and was surprisingly quiet.

We stayed one Saturday night as we were going to an engagement party nearby. Reception staff were welcoming and very helpful. Room was nice, ideal for an overnight stay. Would benefit from more plug sockets if anything. The hotel is near a 24hr Mcdonalds which was handy on way home from pub! If we had more time we would have probably had dinner in the adjoining restaurant.

We needed a room as I was unwell.. needed quiet, comfortable bed and no hassle.. Premier Inn answered the call yet again. Also stayed at High Wycombe and the chain is fantastic value with repeatable and predictable high quality.

Great for a night or two stop over.

We stayed in the Premier Inn for two nights and booked breakfast which was taken in the Peel Park pub (please read my review on Peel Park pub, not good).
On arrival we were greeted with a warm friendly smile from Cathy, our room was on the first floor to the front, was very spacious and exceptionally clean, the bed was large and comfortable with a choice of pillows, duvet and sheets were spotless, there is no air conditioning but there is a fan in the room, we did have to open the window at night for some fresh air but very quiet outside, bathroom and towels all good. Overall good value at £50 a night, the only reservation we had was the breakfast at Peel Park pub next door they need the Premier Inn cleaners in there, the matter has been reported to Premier Inn

Room Tip: We had room 23 on first floor at front of hotel
